After the encounter on the Main Strip nine days ago, I was able to track down the path of Abdel abu Almani to the Xarakx Battery Field. I hired some JSA troops again. They were not very useful last time, but they were simply the cheapest and they owned me one. I knew that Abdel had some vicious things in mind and when I met that drunken Kum biker in Harrys Bar, I was able to get the needed information. That old lad was boasting about an imminent attack on the Xarakx Battery Field that was hidden as Countermeasures against some Shasvastii Forces. I simply could not let that Abdel escape with that. I almost had the evidence of Abdels crimes when terrible things happened that I’m very ashamed of. But the truth has to be told, even if that puts myself in a bad spot…

Abdels Hassasins deployed first with a very defensive linkteam, the obnoxious Ghazis, a Lasiq sniper, some baggage remotes two camo markers and the obligatory Bob from accounting.
Stögers JSA followed up with two successful infiltration rolls which very flanked by a defensive Kaisotsu link, some drones and a Ryuken with her mine. Support troops left and right. Yojimbo protected the drones and the link with his Crazy Koalas.
Abdel then put down Lisa from finance near my Keisotsu link and Stöger noticed the RuiShi that inspected Lizas position.
Ghazis were advancing, protected from the missible launcher by the tall maintenance buildings in the middle of the Battery Field.+++ Stöger reporting +++
It was very early in my investigations when the JSA commander realized that these Hassasins were the same guys that slaughtered his comrades on the main strip some days ago. I could not understand a word, but it must have been curses and insults. They were on fire!

I could not convince my bodyguards to stay calm. In this bloodrage I was barely able to gain knowledge about Abdels Measures on the Xarakx Field and how to Counter it

The Ragik dropped down successful and complete a classified, but his attempt to shoot Yojimbo in the back only resulted in putting him in NWI
The doctor right next to Yojimbo completed an easy classified in healing him from NWI back to normal.+++ ... +++
They all went on a rampage! It was terrible and not what I had planned!

Yojimbo killed the Ragik. Shinobu then appeared on the flank and killed a Ghazi, a Farzan and a baggabe remote.
Shinobu, quite the Character she is, then completed a classified before going into TO camo state again.
The Farzan I had to left near my unconcious bots managed to complete another classified in scanning the thrashed remote.
An Oniwaban sneaked around the back of a Fanous remote and put it into unconcious to complete a classified.
On her way back to an enemy HVT, Shinobu killed another two enemys and Kidnapped the HVT to complete another classified.The third classified could not be completed. I had no models with Visors left, because the Rui Shi was already dead.
Turn 2 ended with a 5:4 lead in classifieds for Hassasins.

By the time I could stick my head back out, Abdels Hassasins were already in full retreat! I think there were not many of them left when Shinobu, her face distorted to a mask of death, finally regained her conciousness about what had happened here.

JSA shot the Hassasins into retreat. They only had about 50 points left and the game ended! Wow. What a bloodlust. The Hassasins did roll one or two successful armor saves, while the JSA killed everything left and right. Abdel was quite frustrated and even reminded me to shoot his remaining troops so they could get what they deserved. When we realized he was in retreat, he was quite ashamed.
This means the game ended in a 8:4 victory for the Hassasins, because they played the mission well even when the troops did not. It was the very first game I lost due to retreat. This was a very good reminder to keep the army points in check and I think I'll not forget about that in our next tournament for sure. :-)
Thanks to Abdel for the nice game. It was the perfect follow up narrative for Hermann Stögers quest to investigate the Crisis.

Amazing report; love the filters! Sorry you killed your way to a loss; that’s frustrating. Buuuuut I am happy to see Haqqislam prevail, so hey.
