We were playing TACOS on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, and I foolishly selected a list with next to no specialists, so I wasn’t in great shape right out of the gate. I had terrible timing with objectives turning up, too (they seemed to come up *after* I’d happened to complete them more often than not). That said, it was still a great game, with lots of back and forth.
I went second again, and I spent much of our first turns attempting to deal with the Guard scorpion tank. I had a few big guns but less AP than might have been ideal, and my line adhesive launcher was buried a little way back out of effective play by my poor consideration of deployment. It made me really appreciate the chasseur’s infiltration (I’d fielded Tartary for this game but without fireteam, so I had a tankhunter hauling my glue).
By the end of my first turn I’d managed to disable the Guard and a nearby nazmat, but was unable to put down the remaining engineer. Unfortunately, I’d also lost many of my best anti armour options by this point, so while I put up a continued solid effort I had trouble successfully playing around that scorpion for the remainder of the game. My line objective point was the result of an effective pistol shot.
