Asteroid Blues

A Shasvastii detachment was deployed to the Gallery Maze in order to seize control and gain an advantage in the war efforts, have failed.

The units deployed in question are not at fault but the decision of the commander, failing to go after the right targets, focusing his efforts on the wrong area of the battle and not fully understanding the mission brief before deploying however the EI have decided to give him another chance to prove himself as a commander of the Combined Army.

With the Gwalio deployed as the spearhead of the operation the commander chose to deploy his unit in camo states to hide the true number and power of the detachment unit. Outfitting a Caliban with a spitfire, Noctifer with missile launcher and a Killer hacker Malignos, the commander deployed the units on high ground areas to control the battlefield in preparation of heavy ordnance O-12 units.

Turn 1: O-12
The enemy opening up with their Varigians taking positions to support their troops.
The Epsilon opening up with gunning down our sympathiser leaving little remaining of him giving the enemy the first strike on our forces.
Trying to show the “might” of the O-12 Gamma unit began relocating his position to attack our support unit (DR worm) however the simple-minded Gamma was unaware of the trap he had sprung, the Noctifer took aim and fired. underestimating the Gamma, takes a wound from the exchange.
Begin built to dealt with our camo units, the Epsilon takes aim, unloading his HMG into the Noctifer failing to beat the skill of our troops becomes a red paste across the walkway after failing three saves.
Seeing the result of his fellow man, the Gamma opens up on the Gwalio but due to the resilient armour makes the saves. However due to the environment a piece of metal cuts into him causing a wound. Due to his action’s Dr Worm and Malignos were able to reposition themselves for the fight to come.
Trying to bring reinforcements a Delta arrives on the battlefield only to be meet but a Shrouded who kills him without a second thought.

Turn 1: Shasvastii
Seeing an opening in the O-12 defence, the Caliban equipped with a Spitfire surprises the Gamma and in one burst removes him the board, following the Gamma was a Gangbuster trembling in fear unable to prevent his death as the Caliban gives him his sentence of opposing us, leaving our forces to press advantage.
Following suit our Gwalio removes the other Gangbuster, crumbling the net of Mad traps across the battlefield.
Leaving the Shasvastii forces to take control of the battle, The Gwalio shreds Team Sirius.
The Q drone moves up to support.

Turn 2: O-12
Failing to realise the futile efforts of the Delta forces deploy another only to welcomed by our acting Lieutenant the Mentor who shot gunned him before he had a chance to act.
Leading what seemed like a suicide mission the enemy engineer and Warcor attacked the Gwailo killing him and forcing our Caliban to take cover. Left the antenna open, destroying it in the process.

Turn 2: Shasvastii
Advancing the Q-drone up melted the engineer with plasma rounds (who I think was called Augstino) and continuing to take out the enemy HVT.
Caliban took control of the antenna and blew it up with its standard issue D-charges.
Moving up to seize another.

Turn 3: O-12
Running low on manpower the O-12 were being to lose moral but not out of the fight yet.
Charging the Varigians forward in hope of stopping the Q-drone was stopped in his tracks by the specialist Caliban.
Due to the effort of one Kappa killing the specialist Caliban and seizing control of the antenna. Falling back to cover to lay down suppressing fire over the objective.

Turn 3: Shasvastii
Having what seemed like a sure win, to uphill battle, the Shrouded moved up taking cover was sniped by the kappa stopping his advance.
Leaving little options available the combined effort of the Caliban and Malignos annihilated the Warcor cause enough confusion for the Malignos to capture the Object leading to a minor lose.

Results
Although being killed first, his actions lead to the O-12 securing a victory over Shasvastii. Although the battle was won, the War on the Human Sphere continues…
