Asteroid Blues

This is my first online campaign. I played against Fathoym, who has played in previous campaigns and is also our local warcor. We chose Decapitation for the mission and Harry's Bar for the location as it looked very interesting for a mission setup. We did 300pts (325pts for Ikari) and we both had a Shadowshooter.

I won the LT roll and picked first turn. I decided to place one Dog Warrior in reserve.

Fathoym deployed his designated target on the left flank with a Tanko in a link, a Rui Shi and Wild Bill ready to take on any uninvited guests. There were also two camo markers to make attacks less appealing.

A Brawler MSV sniper was also part of the Tanko team, and took up a threatening position on the board.

I had left a second Dog Warrior in reserve and put it inside a building the Brawler had no sight inside of. They were also close to the designated target.

The first Dog Warrior held back in a building located in the middle part of the board. The second rushed through the left side. A spec fired grenade made short work of the Japanese Delegate and forced a Libertos into v:dogged.

On the right flank, a Strelok made its way around the side of a building towards a Krakot (who was the data tracker for Fathoym) and took it out of action. The Strelok was in turn taken out by a Daiyokai.

During Fathoym's turn, the Ikari went on the aggressive in an attempt to deal with the immediate threats on the board and also to deal with my LT.

The remaining Dog Warrior held its position to avoid sniper fire. The Ratnik unleashed its Molotoks on the Rui Shi.

One of the markers (a Scout with E/maulers) revealed itself to a Keisotsu and skillfully takes it out of the fight. It then proceeded to take on a Tanko Missile Launcher.

In response to the TAK forces, the Ikari mercenaries showed more agression. Yojimbo led the charge and took down the remaining Dog Warrior and Wild Bill. He also managed to wound the Ratnik before being hit by a mine.

The Scout and Tanko traded fire again. The Tanko took a hit and decided to duck out of sight. This created an opening for a final trooper to enter.

A Strelok with a Boarding Shotgun attempted to take out the ninja, but failed to do so. This allowed the Ninja to strike down the Veteran Kazak. The Daiyokai eliminated the Designated Target and sent a rocket at the scout LT, which secured victory for the Ikari Forces.

End Result: 9-2 to Ikari (a well earned victory)
