Achilles lead two teams through this dangerous mission. We had a team with Phoenix, Machaon and two Myrmidons and a team with Thrasymedes and three Thorakites. We ran into some vicious Morats lead by the almighty Kornak.
There was a troublesome Yaogat with MSV 2 watching down at us. Achilles commanded Phoenix to take him out with a rocket. This was easily done.
Now that the pesky sniper was taken out, Achilles could begin his wrath. He ran down the battlefield and took out a Surat and two Vanguard infantry troops. He obtained one wound from them on a critical roll. This didn't disturb him one bit. Achilles decided to pin down the rest of the morats by going into a suppressive stance.
A Raktorat was about to peek out at Achilles when his brother's in arms stopped him. "What are you doing?! That's the mighty Achilles out there. You're going to be killed!"
The Raktorat stared across the battlefield and caught eyes with his commanding officer, the Great Kornak. Kornak stood there, his long fur moving in the wind. This gave the Raktorat determination.
The Raktorat rushed out in front of Achilles and fired his flamethrower at him. Achilles laughed, believing his armor would protect him as he fired his spitfire back, killing the Raktorat.
Then, he felt intense heat, and his tough armor wasn't enough to stop the flames. Achilles had died.
With it's final breath, the Raktorat coughed, "For The Great Kornak..."
A Preta moved up and tried to chain rifle Phoenix's link team. Everyone survived and scattered around. Phoenix and Machaon scuttled into a building and the two Myrmidons went behind the same building.
An Oznat ran up the window and fired his shotgun at Phoenix and Machon, killing the poor doctor. Kornak marched right up to Phoenix with his Suryat companion aiming his multi-rifle at him.
"They say a Phoenix can rise back from the grave..." said Kornak. Then, his Suryat fired his shock ammunition, sending Phoenix straight into death.
"...but today, is not that day." Smiled Kornak.
The two Myrmidons rushed at Kornak with rage. One fired his chain rifle at everyone, only managing to kill the Oznat and dying in the process. The other Myrmidon went toe to toe in melee with Kornak.
Kornak went berserk and murdered the Myrmidon without taking a single scratch.
Thrasymedes and his team had to think fast. Time was runnng out. He climbed a nearby storage container and fired at Kornak. Kornak expertly dodged out of the way and set up, with the rest of his team, suppressive fire stances.
Thrasymedes, with little orders he had left, rushed down the battlefield, failing another attempt to destroy Kornak. He then rushed and killed the Suryat.
Kornak peeked out at Thrasymedes, ready to end his life with this MK 12. Thrasymedes had the power of Ares himself in his veins, and fired his rockets at Kornak, burning him into ash.
The battle was finally over.
The tale of how the mighty Kornak destroyed powerful, legendary Aleph troops will be told for years.
Mmm…BBQ Achilles is best Achilles. But still, congrats on the win!
Ouch! Losing Achilles to fire ammo hurts! Good work repelling the alien though, commander

Nice reports.
I’ld love to hand out an extra ration of bananas…
Seems that Morats are a ugly problem on this rock. Nice report!
