Asteroid Blues

The High Command had instructed us to hit hard the Ariadna territories, so we called the best of the best in the Sword of Allah. As the team arrived, we encountered an ally Nomad contingent which had among their lines the Aristeia! star, Señor Massacre. We didn’t got impressed as we carried our star for us, Wild Bill.

As the two aristos looked each other and Massacre being drunk, he started to yell at Bill. He didn’t payed attention to his insults yet the situation became a real problem as the drunken fighter started to insult the soldiers of the Sword. We tried to stay calm, as we knew Massacre, but the real problem came when he said that the Prophet was just a “sandy towelhead”, that was unacceptable.

As the Nomads and Haqqislam usually treat each other with some degree of courtesy, we agreed to only retaliate towards the insults of Massacre. We called an training exercise with their squadron in which the only lethal ammo would be used against Massacre.

We gave the first hits, our Zhayedan corps advanced toward Massacre and launched him two missiles that we evaded just barely. The coward hid himself behind an eclipse smoke screen, so we waited until it dissipated. As this happened our team advanced and brought down their HMG and they settled in position in order to wait the move of Massacre. In the other side, our Maghariba Guard a veteran of Kurague called “Icy Maggy” started to shoot down the visible Nomad units.

As Massacre started moving, our Zhayedan with missiles launched him a volley of proyectiles, which made Massacre leave a red stain in the floor, everybody laughed, even the nomads. After this, their Geckos started moving towards the center Maggy started launching explosive ammo against them, unfortunately an excellent shot from the Gecko pilots brought down the scorpion yet they didn’t got her in a null state, they’ll regret this. After this, the geckos positioned strongly in the center and ended their aggression.

After listening in the comms that Maggy was down, the Zhayedan group advanced bravely against the geckos. The marksman team walked towards the mechas and shot them heavily with their shotguns. Seeing that their small weapons were not very effective, the engineer was called to repair Maggy in a suicide mission, as the gecko was watching an alley that directed to her. Bravely our technician managed to get online again our TAG, getting shot in the process. As the scorpion recovered herself, she took aim of the gecko and wrecked it.

They tried to recover terrain by advancing towards our TAG, shooting Bill and a Mobile Brigada getting shot by one of our missiles in the process.

All the rumble was decided in the middle of the field as Maggy advanced towards the center and after arriving got in suppression fire. The Nomads got cocky and both pilots got down from their TAGs and started shooting with their assault pistols. Maggy shot down one and tanked the shots from the other one, finishing the exercise with the absolute victory of the Haqqislam and its brave people.
