Video: Literally what happened to the Khawarij.

Lieutenant Rashida Ghali peeked out around the edge of the abandoned office hut. She idly ran a hand over the numerous holes left by errant bullets, signs of the intense combat the Xaraks Battery Field had faced over the last few weeks.
While looking ahead she muttered to the cluster of Khawarij around her. “OK, I'd like a repeat of our last engagement. Looks like we've got some Yu Jing poking around, so I want to hit them hard and fast and get out of here. Last time they caught us by surprise with a grenade pack dropped by some maniac with a jetpack, and I'd like to avo-”
And then the grenade pack went off.

This was a very weird game.
Our opening objectives cards were nearly useless - the only one I could achieve was to null a Heavy Infantry unit, so that's what I set out to do. My Spitfire Khawarij leaped up to a superior firing lane, and promptly got critted by a sniper. So the MK 12 Khawarij leaped up finish the job, and did so with ease, slaying both the sniper and the shocktrooper charging my way with a monofilament CCW. I scored one objective card, worth one point.
RazorsEdge's first turn started with a sudden dearth of orders, so he spent them all getting his LT in to position to try for a Forward Observer hit on his next turn. He delivered one devastating blow, though, when his drop trooper landed and flattened two Khawarij with a bag of grenades. His turn over, with no objectives scored.
On my second turn, I re-formed the fireteam with the back-up Khawarij, and the lead Naffatun turned around and set RazorsEdge's LT on fire. This knocked him in to Loss of Lieutenant and retreat. I wasn't able to score any objective points, though.
We called the game at the start of his second turn - he couldn't score any objectives, so the game ended with him nearly wiped out by but me winning with a score of only 1 - 0.
Lego console <3
The Almighty One is not pleased to be taken out of the action.
I love the use of lego consoles
Nice report with good pics and a lovely (or suprising) introduction!
Damn, close game. Congrats on the win and thank you once again for the most excellent cat tax.
That does sound like a weird game. How often do you run in to objective draws like that?
