Today is the worst day, it is a day when allies fight each other. Day 4, 117th platoon of the USAriadan Ranger Corps sets out on a mission. The intel said that the Combined Army had impersonated a haq squad and were on a destructive war path in the direction of a cache of 0-12 weapons. The armory was had activated it;s automated lockdown, now it was up to the 117th to push back the rampaging force and retrieve the locked supplies, to reinforce the other Ariadna forces. The 117th platoon arrived after the haq force, most of their forces had deployed to the wings of the engagement zone ( haq deployed first). Tarik and his fireteam deployed under the shadow of a giant factory, while the Al Fasid, commanded the higher ground with the protection of the monstrucker and Nehab. The foxtrot reported the enemies deployment and lieutenant forsen gave orders to counter deploy. Minuteman Jeffords (missile launcher minuteman) took a squad of grunts and Rosie to provide covering fire for the devil dog squad. Wild bill deployed on the left flank, spouting some gibberish that even in his old age he could take the entire flank by himself. Grunt lieutenant Max decided he could provide better leadership by “getting a better view” from the second floor of a comms building.

(First Turn) Engagement started when the maverick was got bored of all the strategic planning, with a rev of his engine he blasted toward the enemy lines firing a smoke grenade to block the Al Fasid’s line of fire (impetuous). Seeing the maverick roar down the battlefield, both the devil dog squad and desperado chased after, though they were looking for blood and about anything but making the invaders bleed. The devil dogs were the first make it to the closest side of the factory. The adrenaline washed the blood lust from the dog warriors thoughts, however the feral mind of the antipode wanted blood and without hesitation ran past and around the corner. The dog warrior heard the ringing of gun fire and the death roars of his partner. Before he had time to charge the corner, the desperado roared by him, with a smoke grenade in one hand. Again he heard roar of gunfire, screech and clunk of a crashing motorcycle, but around the corner of the factory he saw the faint grey color of smoke. The fallen bike had given him a chance, the desperado had tossed a smoke greande to block the line of fire, but bullets had torn through the smoke as a MSV khawarji took his shot. With half of the fireteam blind from the smoke grenade, the devil dog took his chance. He lept around the building spraying his chain rifle at the kharwarji that had brought down his comrades. Thinking the firefight had slowed the khawarji had begun to reload, though he tried to dodge the hail of bullets he was brought unconscious from the swathe. With one target down, the blood lust came over the devil dog and he lept on top of a crate. He sprayed his bullets at two ghulums that were hiding behind, they dodge just in the nick of time and avoided the sharp steel. With a roar he leaped over the ghulum cowering behind the crate, he moved around the back of the factory. There he saw a ghulum covering the back of a naffatun. These haq forces must’ve been aliens he thought, they were a lot faster than the other haq forces he had met.Though the first hail missed after a couple of attempts they both went unconscious from the endless hail of steel. A sharp pain in his lower back made him look back at the cowering ghulum. He winced releasing that that pain was more than a flesh wound. He charged the ghulum, firing his chain rifle. He was surprised to see the ghulum steadily take aim and fire instead of dodging. Though it cost him his life, the ghulum’s shot hit its mark and the devil dog was brought unconscious.

(Haq’s turn) When the smoke cleared, Tarik was all alone, he had started with a whole squad, but in a few seconds his comrade were torn to pieces. He was unscathed and angry, see the dogs dead and a flaming wreckage of a motorcycle, he vowed to kill the rest of these alien impersonators so none of his allies would die ever again. As he moved to turn the corner, he saw a flash of light from the building, without hesitation or thought he fired his spitfire. The flash disappeared, though instead of the enemy sniper that he thought he saw, instead the body of a small journalist sank to the ground. He was being tricked, why would a human journalist be on the aliens side. It was a trick, a ploy that the enemies were using to make him question himself and his actions. He felt the burning rage and he rounded the corner, and let rip a burst of bullets. The first to drop was the minuteman missile launcher, his missile would’ve hit Tarik, but that day Tarik had luck (Crit) and his bullet pierced through the missile causing it to explode before it reached him. The rest of the burst dropped the missile launcher. Next he took his chance with Rosie, though a small firefight broke out, he was unable to wound her. Probably because of the amazing alien tech, that she had hidden under ether whatever holoprojector that was. His clip was out and he fell back behind the wall to reload and wait for reinforcements.

(Ariadna Turn 2) He heard the screams of his canine pals in the distance, he knew they had fallen when giant came around the corner and dropped Jeffords. When the monster of a man had retreated Markus (minute man HMG took his shot. He told rosie and sqaud to move over to his position. When they arrived he took lead of the new fireteam, everyone moved into positions as he moved around the crate to engage the giant. His bullets it there make, just like his training two in the gut (double crit) and that was all it took no matter the size. With all the threats on the right flank dealt with, markus moved his fireteam to the closest armory door. On the way there rosie took a moment to place a scanner ( accomplished net-undermine). Saying something about gather intel on the enemy. After that quick side quest, they got to the door and Rosie entered the releasing code, all the door unhinged and the group ran into the room. Rosie was the first in and had enough time to scavenge through the boxes to find some armor pads (Panoply roll). Markus heard a noise from outside the door, he rushed to it to see a monstrucker. He raised his HMG and fired, downing the monstrucker but not before he heard a beeping sound fly through the air as a drop bear landed near his feet. No one move he shouted, from the his right side, he saw a airborne ranger appear near the factory where the devil dogs had gone. The ranger took aim and shot the mine, destroying it.

(Haq Turn Two) Markus was just about give a nod of thanks to the airborne ranger, when a rocket whipped over his head and exploded inside the armory. He turned to see the airborne ranger attempting to take cover, but a second rocket turned him to ashes. Markus saw the attacker, a Al Fasid on the hill top. Markus dodged back into cover next to the doorway of the armory. Looking around he assessed the damage, both the grunts with HF were down. The blast hadn’t been large enough to hit Rosie or the grunt sniper. The next few moments a series of firefights happened between Rosie, the Al Fasid, and Markus. In the end Rosie was able to bring him down, it did cost the life of the grunt sniper who stood to close to Rosie when a rocket hit.

(USA Turn Three) The maverick seeing that the fireteam had taken a large beating and knowing that the enemy would have to make one final push, rushed to the left side of the Armory. During his ride he shot smoke grenades covering the eyes of the enemy warcor and both of the Nahabs, though he was dropped in the process by the Nahabs. Wild Bill took his chance, he and the grunt paramedic moved slightly out of cover and switch to auto on their rifles. If anything moved once the smoke cleared, they would be welcomed by a wall of bullets ( Command Token Suppressive Fire). Rosie took up positions looking out the door to the nahabs, while markus moved to the farthest wall from Rosie and got into suppressive fire. Lastly the motorized 112 moved up as close as he could to the armory, hoping that even his light shotgun might be able to slow the enemy.

(Haq Turn Three) When the smoke cleared, the first thing Wild Bill saw was a Naheb with a red fury aiming his way. He fired without hesitation, his bullets it their mark right through the head of the Nahab and killed her where she stood. The second Nahab stood and rushed toward the armory, Wild Bill missed but the second nahab was caught by a small explosion as Rosie’s rocket had caught her on the run. The last person to charge the armory was lieutenant naffatun, after watching his allies fall he decided that maybe one last push could do it. Yet as he ran across the hill with all his might, he didn’t notice the motorized 112 take aim in the distance and when the bullets hit he went unconscious instantly. The Rangers had won, but there had been a cost on both sides, have more questions than answers now they decided to take the supplies and samples from the enemies. They would return to base to assess what actually happened and prepare for the next fight.
