Asteroid Blues

Merely two hours later the team infiltrated the Area. Chiang held her whole team nearby, massing on the right flank. Beside her, there were two Hsien warriors, a Zanshi Mech Engineer and a Zanshi Yisheng doctor. They were supported by Crane agent Li and his entourage, a Zhanying (Sensor) Agent and a Celestial Guard trooper with a smoke grenade launcher. She was told a ninja operated in this area too, to support them if needed.
On the enemy´s side on the right flank lay a team of five Ghulams with a Missile launcher and a sniper, supported by a Druze and some remotes. On the left side three Djanbazans were stationed.

As in every skirmish now fought against the Haqqislam force, two Yuan Yuan pirates opened the battle, one at each flank. The one coming down at the left side sneaked around Chiang´s team and managed to get behind them. While the Mech Engineer accomplished to shoot the Yuan Yuan, the pirate was able to fire his Chain rifle at the Zhanying Agent and the Clestial Guard, leaving the Celestial Guard trooper unconscious. The Djanbazan Team marched into the center, forcing the Hsien with the multi rifle into cover.
The Zanshi Yisheng nursed the celestial guard and got him on his feet again, while the Hsien with the HMG climbed onto a building on the right, trying to get a good shot at the Ghulam with missile launcher, but had to retreat back into cover, wounded. As nearly always the Yu Jing forces started to lay down heavy suppression fire.

The remaining Yuan Yuan climbed on the same building the Shien with the HMG was on and the two fighters exchanged fire, leaving both lying on the ground unconscious. On the Left one of the Djanbazans fired at the Celestial Guard trooper but was hit by the returning volley. When he felt to the ground the holo echo flickered and it was obvious, that he was a Hafza, not a Djanbazan. The haqquislam doctor´s servant remote tried to save him, but it was too late. The doctor himself went up to the fallen Yuan Yuan on the roof and injected some experimental drugs, which helped him up in no time. Back on the left side, the Djanbazan with HMG fired now at the Celestian guard, making him fall unconscious again.
The Yu Jing forces repositioned themselves too now. The Crane Agent headed towards the fallen Yuan Yuan next to the Zhnying Agent and cut down the Djanbazan with HMG on the way. The Zanshi doctor braught the Celestial Guard to consciousness a second time and the Hsien with Multi Rifle made himself ready to get into action.

The reawakened Yuan Yuan throwed a smoke grenade to suppot the surviving Djanbazan´s advance, but was shot just as the grenade left his hand. The Ghulam doctor directed her drone towards the Yu Jing agent and managed to scan him, before a shotgun blast from Lietnant Chiang destroyed the remote. The Djanbazan used the cover and got on the right flank, climbing onto the roof in an attempt to capture the fallen Hsien warrior and checking the remote's information on the StateEmpires agent.
Before the Djanbazan could capture the fallen Hsien, the promised ninja fell out of his camo and attacked the Djanbazan, killing him outright. Lieutnant Chiang hacked the Ghulam doctor´s com and downloaded all information she could get. The last Hsien, climbed up on the roof, crossing it and standing at the edge of the roof in line of sight to the silk consortium´s agent. Before the Ghulam sniper could shoot him, he verified the agent´s identity, sacrificing himself for the success of the mission. The Crane agent himself captured the Yuan Yuan.

Lieutnant Chiang and her team had accomplished nearly all mission objectives and were now able to proof, that Rewater Corp. had ties to the silk Consortium. The Rewater facility would be watched closely from now on, maybe there would be an investigation by ISS agents too. But that was none of Chiang´s business anymore, she and her team had done their part.
