The 12th Varuna “Sharkfin” division was poised to retaliate against the Mercenary Forces for the assault in the beginning on the quarry. They decided to steal classified information, known as the “supplies”.

The battle started out rough. Several PanO units were taken out in the opening salvo including a Total Reaction REM as well as a Helot and a Fugazi Flash Pulse REM. This was due to the powerful effect of a Multispectral sniper that the Mercenary forces had. PanO intellegince did not foresee this level of sophistication among the Mercenary forces. A lone Kamau Sniper with her own Multispectral Visor was able to defend the area but she eventually fell to enemy fire.

When Varuna made their push they managed to grab one of the documents but not before losing two themselves to Avicenna and a hidden Ninja working for the Mercenaries. Victory had to be assured or PanO’s push could stand to be a humiliating blow to the war effort. The Mercenary Forces managed to barricade themselves and fortify. The Bipandra Special Forces used her doctoring skills to assist the wounded Kamau Sniper and keep her in the game. She came under fire from a Daiyokai but, after a second successful assist, stood up and with sustained fire she managed to kill him.

The final leg of the battle saw something incredible. Patsy Garnett managed to run down the battlefield in a hail of fire and take out Avicenna who held one of the most important documents. While the document couldn’t be retrieved she managed to not only deny the Mercenaries a document but also capture the mercenary HVT in the process. It turned out as a win for PanO, not the embarrassing defeat it could have been. However, it was at a high cost.
