“Rusl Walsh the commandeering Alpha officer nervously looked through his battle lines. The papers , the info everything checked out, but the empty complex where he and his team arrived gave him the creeps quite frankly.
The place looked abandoned, though the intel said that the central building was a submondo weapons cache long abandoned. Such a place can be a danger if its contents were to get into the wrong hands, especially in this interesting times we live in. So O-12 command sent Walsh to check out the info’s authenticity and if possible, to clean up any weapons that are to be found in the building.”

Walsh pushed the button on his briefcase which promptly transformed into creature resembling a wolf made of metal. He has set up his forces, in a way to defend his perimeter if anything were to happen. A Varangian guard stood on the leftmost flank, then there was a Gangbuster with his trusty madtrap, and an Epsilon watching the long abandoned building that had a sign on it advertising some “wargames” whatever those are.(To know more about “Wargames” please search the Historical Archive of Humanity on Maya) Flashpulse bots borrowed from Aleph were set up on a rooftop and on the middle of the forces on top of a container, while a Team Sirius huddled against the aforementioned building.
The middle was also covered by yet another Gangbuster with the same equipment as the last one , while the right flank had a Varangian standing beside a burnt out Japanese shop, an Epsilon equipped with a Shock Marksman Rifle, and his info officer who everybody just called Jenna (a Kappa Hacker) taking cover on a rooftop and closing the formation on the right with a Dakini HMG with some Monstrucker mercenary covering it.
The last of his troops a Gamma Feuerbach and he himself took to the field in high spirits.

Everything happened really fast, too fast actually…
First some Shasvastii forces appeared on the other side of the weapons cache building(codenamed The Armory from now on…)There were familiar faces among them namely Victor Messer and Aida Swanson, not to mention a cruel joke that looked like the hero Hyppolyta but was actually just Shaeskin a shasvastii operative with an AR overlay that showed her as someone else.
Second later the Shasvastii offensive started.
The Gangbusters opened fire after a supposed drop unit has been inserted (codenamed Cadmus) on top of the delict “wargaming” building, but their bullets just went through the target. By the time they realized that said targets are holoprojected Decoys their MadTraps had already whirred to life and blasted themselves apart on the fake targets.
A sleeper agent crawled out of the ruins of the old Japanese shop and shot a gangbuster in the back while another sleeper agent attacked the right flank taking out the Dakini.

Rockets started to flew, and the Gamma agent only felt a burning sensation as some of his armored plates were scorched. Sadly the Epsilon troop didn’t fare this well and fell to the ground heavily injured. The Shasvastii forces spearheaded by the fake Hyppolita smashed through the Armories door and took tactical positions inside.

Lt Walshes worst dream manifested as the room was full of illegal weapons and equipment, supposedly even rare and illegal things like an ODD field which is now reported missing and thought to be stolen by the Shaeskin herself.

The situation was bad, but not everything was lost as a Varangian cleared out one of the Impersonating sleeping agents (with the help of the Gamma units Heavy Pistol barrage), and the Team Sirius quickly run towards the hole that the Shasvastii team blasted on The Armory.

Sadly luck was not on our side that day. The Sirius bot got hacked and the Operator for the team got capped by a lucky shot from Victor Messers shotgun from miles away.

The bugs knew they could push their advantage so their sleeper agents tried to kill off the Monstrucker who was busy fixing the Dakini while spouting curses along the lines of “stupid inhumane designs” and such. As fate would have it he survived and took out the attacking Impersonator.
With a loud “crack” the Cadmus hatched from its egglike shell and promptly destroyed a flashpulse bot followed by a cyberwarfare attack, that killed the Gangbuster on the left flank. The only success in this dire situation was that Jenna the Kappa hacker succeeded in disabling the enemies hacking device after being attacked through a repeater.

Knowing that this offense will be the last chance the Gamma unit was ordered to blast open the closest door of The Armory (receipts for the damage to the colony are to be sent to O-12 Burau Ganesha under the code of 88-I-25D) enabling a valiant Varangian guard to enter.

Said Varangian proceeded to slay some Shasvastii infesting the room but promptly got jumped by Shaeskin and after a long struggle he was probably ***REDACTED***

The last offensive of the bugs took the team by surprise as a lone Ikadron eliminated a Varangian guard and an Epsilon HMG on the flank (even though said Epsilon at least removed the threat of the Cadmus from the rooftop, said soldier is to receive a promotion Posthumus from the command), and almost took out Lt Walsh on the backlines.
In a futile attempt Walsh rushed and shot down the Ikadron (almost getting schorched in the process) and proceeded to gather up his forces and check out the Armory, but this was too little too late.

The building has been cleared out by the Shasvastii forces and the aforementioned Varangian guard is presumed KIA as only the clothes of the soldier were found on the ground.(Further information is CLASSIFIED)

Further investigation indicates that the Shasvastii forces left through a ventilation shaft in the building, which warrant further checks to the vent system of the colony.

An utter and total defeat, yet still a valuable data on the fighting styles and tactics of the Combined Army forces.
