Bonjour, you are Serzhánt Petrov of the Stavka debriefing team? Good, I am Sous Lieutenant Rasty of Strike Force “Liberté”. I was told to talk to you about our latest engagement.
Well, let me tell you what happened last night at yet an other hangar bay which was assessed “not or only lightly guarded” by your staff. You see, it was guarded, and quite heavy at that.
After my team crawled for a whole day through some ventilation shaft or another, mining most of it to discourage the enemy from pursuit, we finally managed to make contact with command. We were told, that the enemy presence in the first hangar was mere coincidence and that the next bay was surely unguarded. So we made our way there, only to find a strong force of the Japanese Army there. I'm not sure how they managed to ship a whole team there without your people noticing, but resistance was far from light, as we were told.
I was about to send my team back to the ventilation systems, when we received word that a vital informant a was to be found in this area and we were to procure it no matter the cost. So we went in. My Chasseur Charles managed to sneak up front and scan a potential enemy spy, sending the data directly to command. After that, he tried to hide again, but was gunned down by an Oniwaban appearing out of nowhere. Meanwhile, on the right flank, the fireteam of Moblots et Métros tried to take out part of the enemy guards, but while Quentin was aiming his HMG he was gunned down by a Keisotsu rocket launcher. And yes Serzhánt Petrov, they had heavy weaponry, lots of it.
While the soldiers were recovering from the initial shock, a Rui Shi remote quickly advanced at the centre, taking one of my Loup-Garous and yet an another Chasseur out of action. On our left flank Yoyimbo laid down a cover of smoke, and a Ninja managed to identify our informant.
Trying to neutralize Yoyimbo, Zouave Henri aimed his assault pistol, and managed to injure him, but that man is hard to take down. Stunned that Yojimbo was still walking, Henri never saw the Ryuken firing his rocket, taking him out of the fight for good. With a cry for vengeance the two remaining Loup-Garous stormed forwards, firing salvo after salvo of viral rounds at the Ryuken, but he shook off all the damage like it was nothing. Using the confusion, Knauf left his cover, downing the HMG wielding Keisotsu with a single shot.
Noticing this threat, Oniwaban Kitsune left her hiding place in a cover of smoke and struck down Knauf with her blade. Emboldened by her victory she then charged the remaing members of the fire team and managed to take down our Alguacil specialist, but the two Moblots of the team avenged their brethren and downed her with their shotguns. In the centre, the damned quick Rui Shi began attacking again, taking down another Loup-Garou.
Seeing that the success of the mission was hanging on a thin thread, the Commander of the team, Métro Amélie, left her safe position and shot down the Oniwaban at the right flank, but was in that same moment critically hurt by another Ryuken with a SMG. The Moblots captured the injured Kitsune for later interrogation. Ignoring all danger, our Docteur Bertrand rushed to help an injured Chasseur, but with merciless accuracy the Rui Shi gunned him down.
Seeing that my team managed to gather vital information despite the losses, the enemy commander sent his people forward to get them back from us. A Keisotsu hacker ran across the battlefield, managing to verify the identity of our informant and a Ninja took important information off the downed Docteur.
Cutting our losses, we decided to retreat to HQ, so that other units would not walk into an ambush as we did.
So, Serzhánt Petrov, I hope that answers your questions. If you'll excuse me now, I have to send messages to the families back home.
A valiant effort commander!
