Sending in my Chasseurs first, they quickly reported a military unit of Haqqislam soldiers. While I tried to communicate with them in order to ask them what they were doing so far away from their quarters near the Spaceport, they fell back into defensive positions. Not noticing my forward scouts, they then advanced towards my main troops. While the fireteam of Moblots looked for cover, an assassin used the moment of confusion for a cowardly surprise attack, injuring the Métros Danton and Vergil. But thanks to the watchful eyes of the Chasseur Charles, the assassin Al-Djabels threat could be contained with some mines and his trusty flamethrower.

On the right flank the team of Loup-Garous Veterans cautiously advanced, taking out the threat of a hidden Daylami. While trying to dispose of the Loup-Garous, the Djanbazan sniper on a tower on the right side could easily be eliminated by the commander of my patrol, Moblot Quentin.

Seeing that the right side was held tightly by my troops, the Haqqislamite counterstrike hit hard at our left flank, led by a Mukhtar, who fought like possessed and could not be stopped by the fireteam. In a coordinated attack with the assassin, Tarik Mansuri and a cloaked Tuareg sniper, the whole team was overwhelmed and taken out of the fight. Luckily for us, Al-Djabel got careless with his success, and never saw the Loup-Garous eliminating him for good.

With his injuries proving to severe, Moblot Quentin was no longer in any shape to command the team, and so Métro Amélie took over his position. In this short phase of confusion, almost nobody noticed the mercenary Knauf taking a careful aim. With two precision shots he saved the rest of the men and women from the attacks of Mansuri and the Tuareg, completely ignoring his own safety, only to be taken out by the fire of the Mukhtar.

In this moment of respite, the new commander Amélie ordered the remaining troops to secure the enemy equipment. In a coordinated push they could wrest control of an antenna and the tech supplies in the centre of the battlefield from the enemy. Disheartened by our success, the remainder of the enemy forces began to fall back.

After that, a Stavka team arrived at our coordinates and helped us recover the intel, which, at the moment, is analysed by our scientists. While not completely certain, evidence suggests that the Haqqislam forces were trying to bypass our security systems, to what end we don't know. For that reason, command advises us to be careful of non-ariadnan personnel, because at the moment there is no telling who else is planning to wrest control of the defence batteries from us.
