Asteroid Blues

A group of unidentified attackers infiltrate the Xarаks Battery’s protected area. The Scots patrol, which was joined by the alarming General Wallace, advanced to intercept. The task is to prevent the theft of the classified contents of the container located in K-63 square in the north-eastern part of the battery field. It is also required to take control of the communications equipment deployed in the square.

Scots lose the initiative.

1-1 Aleph successfully drops a paratrooper in the rear of the Scots. The only volunteer who had a chance to shoot a paratrooper was shot by a bot sniper. General Wallace, another volunteer and 45th infantry fighter, dies from the paratrooper’s fire.

1-2 Caledonians lose a lieutenant. The Scots are in despair, the discipline of half the squad fighters was rested on the authority of General Wallace. The strongest will succeeds in preventing the surrender of the unit to the mercy of the winner. Uncoordinated forces are thrown to destroy the paratrooper. In attempts, a machine gunner from the Gray Riflemen and a volunteer medical officer died. Together, volunteers and fighters of the 45th managed to kill brisk and lucky paratrooper.

2-1 Aleph captures antennas. Forward observer thorakit, who is also a liaison officer, takes up a position near the right antenna, assault thorakit – at the left. Forward observer succeeds on the first attempt to switch the antenna.

2-2 Order restored. The volunteer kills the assault thorakit at the left antenna, but also perishes from the fire of the bot-sniper. Galveg tries to recapture the right antenna, but dies. Volunteer grenade launcher operator with a successful shot hits the Aleph liason officer and kills her. The remaining volunteer-paramedic is trying to reanimate the wounded Gray, but fails.

3-1 Aleph begins the final assault. A Proxy-sniper appears from nowhere on the right flank and starts moving to the position of the volunteers fireteam. After killing a journalist from Dawn on the road, who was watching the battle from the roof of the building, Proxy approaches the imprudently lined up Scots. Nanopulsers are used. The attack is repeated over and over again, but the Caledonians deftly dodge and three out of five survive the attack.

3-2 New lieutenant, volunteer from right flank, runs to the right antenna. Her fallen comrade cleared the way. Antenna control is provided.

A soldier from the 45th infantry, scattering smoke grenades to hide from the fire of a sniper, runs to the container in the center of the battlefield. The journalist, watching the shootout from the attackers side, stuns him. Fortunately, a smoke grenade thrown from the last strength, closes the Scot from the enemy and allows him to get close to the container and take it under control.
