Asteroid Blues

Top of Turn One
The Combined Army began its attack by driving a Krakot and Daturazi up my right flank which eventually drew my Helot militia out of camouflage to ARO and the Daturazi fell to light rocket launcher fire. The Krakot and Helot achieved mutually assured destruction in an exchange of chest mine and SMG fire. The Rodok HMG in a core fire team lay down suppressing fire on the Kamau multi-sniper who survived a hit before dropping prone and out of sight. Treitak Anyat and a Yaogat began to advance up my left flank while the Q-Drone advances up the middle of the field.

Bottom of Turn One
The Kamau multi-sniper recognizes that her only chance is to duel the Rodok HMG in her active phase. She stands up and successfully drops the Rodok HMG with a critical hit. My Krakot advances up my left flank and duels with Treitak Anyat who is standing at the corner of a building. Shots are missed and armor saves are made until the Krakot moves to a position where his chest mine can hit both Treitak Anyat and the Yaogat. Anyat guns down my Krakot while making her armor save. The Yaogat is less lucky and dies to the chest mine and putting the Combined Army into loss of lieutenant. The Black Friar follows in the Krakot’s footsteps and successfully guns down Treitak Anyat. The Magister Knight pushes up my right flank while the Trauma Doc uses a Palbot to heal the Helot.

Top of Turn Two
The Q-drone reduces my Warcor to a pool of goo. An enemy Krakot begins to push toward my beacon until a Swiss Guard decloaks guns him down with a HMG. A Raktorak pops around a corner and attempts to burn the Swiss Guard with his heavy flamer. Luckily the Swiss Guard is able to dodge the wall of flame. The Rodok fire team pushes up the middle and triggers a Zulu Cobra killer hacker who is unable to melt the brain of the Rodok hacker.

Bottom of Turn Two
The Magister Knight continues to advance hard up the right flank and eliminates a Daturazi. He begins his final advance on the enemy beacon. The Magister dodges an Ikadron’s flamers before cutting it down in close combat. The last obstacle removed he picks up the enemy beacon and begins retracing his steps back to my deployment zone.

Top of Turn Three
The Raktorak again tries to burn the Swiss Guard with his heavy flamer. This time the Swiss Guard stands firm and returns fire with his HMG. The fire damages the delicate TO camo equipment but his armor withstands the assault. The Raktorak is less fortunate and drops to the HMG fire. The Q-Drone repositions to cover my Black Friar’s likely line of advance. The Rodok fire team is stymied by the Swiss Guard and Zulu Cobra covering my beacon.

Bottom of Turn Three
The Magister Knight returns the enemy beacon to my deployment zone but is unable to deliver it to my data tracker. The Zulu Hacker eliminates the Rodok Hacker. The Fusilier Hacker advances and gathers Telemetry data.

Results
My opponent failed to achieve any objectives during the game. I was able to capture the enemy beacon (3 objective points), have the enemy beacon in my deployment zone (1 objective point), protect my beacon from the enemy (3 objective points), and complete my classified objective (1 objective point). I won the match 8 to 0.
