Annihilation

Following recent setback our forces were recalled to the Yu Jing staging area in the Jiyuan Open Pit site for debriefing, refit, and resupply and some well-deserved R&R. Our transport had landed in the docking bay moments before the facility was rocked by an explosion which took out one of the outer airlocks. While my troops were weary from the recent fighting, we were still the most experienced and well-armed division in the area so elected to advance into the gap in an effort to repel the would-be aggressors.
My intuition was rewarded with a target rich environment of the true reason we were deployed to Novyy Bangkok – the Combined Army. We identified units of the Shasvastii coupled with a strong contingent of Morats. Frenzied Taigha Creatures formed the first wave but were cut down by fire from our Total Reaction remote which had deployed in a high vantage point.
As this brute force was repulsed the next tactic was stealth. While the trickery of the Shasvastii knows no bounds our careful positioning of anti-personnel mines coupled with a counter attack by our Guilang and Daofei components made short work of our assailants.
Our reinforced Tiger Soldiers then launched a flanking attack which took the enemy by surprise, putting them on the backfoot. A Shaolin Monk advancing through the centre was set upon by a Noctifer but his chain rifle made short work of the alien menace.
The Daofei advanced to mop up what was left and we declared the area secure as garrison units arrived.
