Haqqislam vs Yu Jing

First of, I should start off by explaining that this report was going to include like... 100% more video... but, when Infinity turns into Saturday Night GINfinity... (Ed: There wasn't even any gin!) well, I am sure you can all imagine how that turned out... I even think we completely missed the End of Turn Two report...

We totally weren't drinking... honest.
Also, blame this man. He brought most of the beer... (Totally not a lie...)

Round One

Since the website, and therefore the PDF, were delayed the other day, we opted to play one of the Season 11 missions instead. Said mission was rolled for, and we ended up with Unmasking. A chore to say the least only in so much that neither of us own two HVT models let alone SIX of the Gods Damn things, so out came the SPACE MARINES, at least for me, and I'm fairly certain that GW's new Warcry game was not supposed to be used for such means, but alas, what can you do in these dire times?

I had lost turn order to AJ, so opted to deploy second and choose my side, which was around about the time that I realised I hadn't really set the board up all that well, and figured that most of my dudes would be mown down by ARO fire. (Oh how I was wrong...)

AJ went first, and managed to get up to a console with a Ninja completely unopposed... cause I'm just that nice and polite you see, and in no way an idiot... and, as we have already established, there was no Gin what-so-ever, so I totally couldn't have been drinking at this point...
Not that it mattered much, as considering the Ninja in question, all full of Zeal having gotten up to the console in the second order of the game, tripped and smashed his face off of the damn thing, meaning that, at least for that order, he totally missed the correct BUTTEN, in order to activate the thing.
Sadly, since it was still the start of the game, AJ had orders left, and so, with a black eye, the Ninja got up, checked to see if anyone had been watching (They had. His Yu Jing mates were all laughing at him from the back.) and pressed the BUTTEN.

AJ, guessed who my real HVT was right at the start of the game, and we couldn't work out if that meant the other decoys were also discovered or not, but it made sense, so we just went with it.

AJ at this point sent a... well, I can't actually what it was supposed to be, but it turned out to be a Kanren that couldn't shoot very well, and within a few orders, it was trying to kill my HVT, which I can tell you now, wasn't pretending to be an unpainted Space Wolf.
Needless to say, the Kanren missed, and the HVT managed to dodge out of the way.

My turn was better in the sense that between Tarik, a Mutt and a flamer toting mad woman manages to kill the Ninja but other than that, it wasn't really all that great. I ended round one remembering that although I had first blood, I was totally on the back foot in regards to protecting my HVT's.

Round Two

Round two saw his Hsien have a shoot out with my Jannisary in rather deadly HMG related combat, which after a number of orders, saw the Jannisary hit the deck. Down, but not out.

The Kanren went back into Holoprojectory shenanigans and moved up to attempt to kill the HVT, only, due to a rather drunken misplacement from AJ, upon shooting at the HVT, he was in ARO of a near by Camo's Hunzakut, who at the time was rearranging his packed lunch box collection (Read: Anti-personnel mines)
The HVT dodged, the Hunzakut shot, the Kanren hit the floor.

It was at this point, it really started to crumble for the Yu Jing. The Hsien tried to move across a gap through some nimbus, only to smacked in the face by a very lucky Panzerfaust shot.

My turn two proceeded to see me use another Hunzakut to smash a BUTTEN and find out his HVT the first time around. This allowed Tarik to really get his teeth into the game, and so after he had a brief shoot out with the Wu Ming, he made short work of one of the Enemy Decoys.

Round Three

With only four orders left, and the very drunken realisation that he was about eight - nil down, AJ made the announcement that if he could at least kill Tarik, he would take that as a moral victory.
His Su-Jian and Tarik had a close range, rather heated 'chat' about whose Spitfire was better, a 'chat' which saw Tarik floored and removed from the table.

AJ, in his all of his drunken stupor, beamed with intoxicated glee.

Turn Three for me consisted of having Leila move up an breaker pistol his HVT in the face, and with that done, it was game over.

Conclusion

It wasn't until we finished the game that we found that the campaign site was up and running and the PDF was available, so with that in mind, I've opted to leave out any narrative for this mission.

Sorry about the lack of any video. I did look over what I had, but it was... well, somewhat amusing, but eeeh.

I plan to take more for future campaign games though, as well as maybe actually get around to painting more terrain...
