Asteroid Blues

This is my battle report from last week, hope you like it.

I was healing the wounds of some soldiers who had returned from the battle in the Xārạksạ Battery against the Spiral Corps, then an alarm was heard throughout the base, a lieutenant immediately arrived and informed us about a raid of Haqqislam troops that were heading to the Xārạksạ Battery, without wasting any more time I took my equipment and headed to the transport vehicles.

Inside the transport vehicle beside me were two Marauders and a team of Grunts led by a Minuteman, when we approached the Xārạksạ Battery we positioned ourselves in the center of the designated deployment area, on the right flank arrived the rest of the troops led by the Unknown Ranger.

One of the marauders was positioned on the roof of a building, although we noticed that there was already another soldier in that position and we thought that he had arrived in another transport, we were very wrong.

Moments later the enemy troops began firing with everything they had and the first to fall were the team of Grunts and their leader, surviving only one of them, I quickly positioned myself near another Marauder carrying a shotgun.

And that was when we saw how one of our troops really was a Fiday and taking the Maraduer by surprise, he struck him with his sword leaving him seriously injured. The Fiday launched a smoke grenade to avoid our shots. A moment later we saw how a hacker managed to reach one of the antennas, we started shooting him with our shotguns, the hacker returned the shots, it was a very intense fight we all dodged the shots, in the end the hacker was the winner, leaving my partner unconscious, I had to retreat.

On the radio we listened how the Unknown Ranger team was under heavy fire and in the distance the shots of the TRAKTOR MUL missile launcher were heard. In the transmission we were still listening how one of the enemy troops had been eliminated, moments later there was a great explosion that we assumed was from the TRAKTOR MUL and then radio silence.

There was only me and my lieutenant left, I looked to the roof of a nearby building and watched how the Fiday quickly approached me, I started shooting him, the Fiday dodged all my shots and threw himself at me with his sharp sword.

I dodged his first blow and took the opportunity to take my ax, the training I had years ago at one of the USAriadna emplacement against the wild antipodes paid off, for several minutes I dodged his attacks and took every opportunity to attack him with my ax, I saw how more troops were approaching and how the lieutenant was defeated by an Asawira, but not before causing him a wound, this fact caused the Fiday to be distracted for an instant and It was when I dealt a fatal blow to the Fiday leaving him unconscious.

In the end I managed to escape, however the enemy troops had achieved their goal, took the Xārạksạ Battery and took all the information contained in the data coffin.
