Game 1: Dahshat Company vs Spiral Corps (representing Tohaa in campaign)

Dahshat Force consists of:
GROUP 1: 1 Zuyong with HMG and Tac Awareness, 2 Bounty Hunters with SMGs, 1 Bounty Hunter with Boarding Shotgun and Miranda Ashcroft in 5 man core link. 1 Rui Shi, Valerya Gromoz and 1 Zuyong with Combi, Haris and Tac Awareness in a haris link. 1 Ghulam FO and 1 McMurrough

Group 2: Dozer with Rifle, Ghulam LT with Rifle/LS, Ghulam with Rifle/ LS, 2 Kum Bikers with Chain Rifles, 2 Libertos Freedom Fighter Minelayers with Mimetism.

Group 1: 1 Kriigel with Breaker Combi, 1Reex with spitfire, 1 Reex with Boarding Shotgun, 1 Kaeltar Specialist with CoC and Combi Rifle, 1 Draal with Submachinegun and Minelayer, 1 Kiel-Saan with Red Fury, 1 Kerail Preceptor with Mutan Beast, 1 Clipsos Infoltrator FO, 1 Igao with Boarding Shotgun, 1 Rasail Boaring Team LT with Viral Rifle.

Group 2: 1 Helot Militia with Red fury

Initiative roll off is won by Dahshat company who elect to take first turn to try and lock down an early lead by activating two easy to reach consoles. The table has some heavy terrain density on one of the sides and Spiral forces Dahshat into that area in order to leave some space for mid range AROs from it’s side.

Deployment for Dahshat:
5 man link takes up position on their left flank to be able to move into position along a number of firelanes into enemy DZ that start around the midfield. 3 man haris deploys in heavy cover on the right flank ready to move forward and harrass anything on that side with the Rui Shi. Ghulams are well hidden behind walls or prone on top of a tall building in the backfield, the LT is protected from anything but an AD troop turn 1 while the fake LT is on the other side of the board – still idfficult to access without AD. 2 Libertos are deployed right at edge of exclusion zone with mines around the route to real HVT target and approach to LT. McMurrough and bikes are deployed behind total cover and with approaches that should be safe from ARO after a single move using large central buildings. The Dozer lurks next to the Rui Shi in case of repairs to him or his HI attendant.

Spiral Deployment (from Dahshat Perspective)
The Spiral force is very spread out with a number of single pieces prone behind S1 barriers or on rooftops. The mine from the draal is set up on top of a building to play as a Helot. The helot is placed within 8″ of the draal on the ground floor to masquerade as a mine. The Kiel Saan is at the back of the table behind total cover crates and will not be reachable turn 1. The Kriigel is prone on top of a building and will likelybe hard to attack without being isolated by anything without STR or Super-jump. The Igao is standing on top of a building facing where McMurrough will come from. The clipsos fails an infiltration roll and winds up on the left flank watching where the link team will approach from.

Turn 1
Impetuous orders allow Kum bikers to rush forward and drop smoke to cover the rui shi up to just past the halfway line. McMurrough also rushes forwards but in doing so prompts the Igao to reveal and shoot him. The template does not touch anything else and McMurrough succesfully smoke dodges the attack. The Link team spots an opening and moves to the midfield over the course of a couple of orders which allow Miranda Ashcroft to move into contact with the console on the left and the Zuyong HMG to draw a bead on the previously safe, prone Rasail. This also moves him into LOF of the Clipsos by accident and she fires, forcing the Zuyong to split burst. He crits the clipsos but is unable to deal more than a wound to the Rasail whom he outranges but cannot get out of cover. With the clipsos dead the Zuyong moves to attack the Rasail again and causes enough wounds to kill it this time. At this point McMurrough does not have an obvious target as the line is so spread out that he cannot efficiently hit more than a model at a time. The Rui Shi therefore makes use of the smoke to move up the table to attack form within the smoke. He succesfully kills the Igao and takes the symbiomate off the draal but then has to start moving back up the field to safety as he does not have the orders to press further. Valerya has used the Rui Shi’s orders to move onto the console on the right using her haris moves and succesfully activates the console as the Rui Shi moves away – selecting the wrong potential target as a result. The 5 man link team are in a bad position at this point without orders to move to safety and a pulzar wielding Kerail and Surda looming close. One of the Libertos moves up the field to engage the symbiobeast, laying a protective mine as he does so. This reveals him but he moves into pulzar range of the beast anyway and shotguns it succesfully – both libertos and surda go dogged. The Libertos uses his groups last regular order to move away and lay a mine on the approach for the Kerail. He dies to a pulzar but was already dogged. It is now the end of the turn, Miranda activates one last time to move her team into a better position but fails her roll to activate the console.

Turn 1 Spiral
Chain of command saves the spiral force from being in LOL and they need to reclaim the middle ground. On one flank the draal moves up to the corner around from McMurrough and drops a mine. He then rounds the corner and fires his SMG at McMurrough who must dodge or take the mine. McMurrough does evade the mine but is crit and fails a save against one succesful hit which renders him unconscious. The draal then rushes the console which Valerya had used firing a shot against Valerya, a Kum and a Libertos which all fire back. The draal manages to hit every opponent once with his SMG but everyone passes saves in a flurry of 20s and 19s. On the other flank the Kiel Saan activates and over a couple of orders succeeds in downing the Zuyong HMG with his Red Fury. Left with very few orders and options the Spiral force use a coordinated order to move the Kiel Saan, Kaeltar and Draal forwards and up to cover. The draal also hacks the console succesfully but selects an incorrect HVT. In return he loses a wound to the fire from the three models he had shot at previously.

Turn 2 Dahshat
This turn essentially decides the game, the draal is shot down by the ghulam who was positioned on a rooftop who is able to move forward and catch him out of cover due to fortuitous placement, though the ghulam is in turn killed by an ARO from the helot he thought was a mine. The Rui Shi moves up and annhilates the kiel san over 3 orders. Miranda succeeds at activating a console and chooses the correct HVT who will now ideally be killed by the Datatracker Zuyong in the Haris Link. The Zuyong fires at the HVT and misses all shots while the other revealed HVT hits him with a stun pistol meaning a decision now has to be made to kill the HVT with something else now or to leave it until last turn to kill him with datatracker for additional points. The Zuyong moves to hide in a central buildings roof under heavy cover with a mine and a libertos blocking the stairs after him – there isnt enough orders or attack pieces left in spiral to be a real threat to him in this position. The 4 man core link moves up again and kills a reex with a Multi sniper shot (attained through the booty chart at the start of the game) which ends the turn.

Turn 2 Spiral
Short on orders the spiral turn is spent moving the kriigel up toward the rui shi behind a cover of whitenoise from his pheroware – the attacks all go wide or are deflected by armour (0) though so the remote survives the turn. The last order is spent using the reex boarding shotgun to kill the revealed HVT (which was right in the opponents DZ as a head game).

Dahshat Turn 3
The Zuyong Datatracker stands uo and engages the real HVT at 14″ with his combi from cover…the HVT crits him on a 3…
full points now unavailable for the mission the rui shi finishes the job – annhilating both revealed HVTs. as he does so Valyra moves onto the central console and activates it which reveals the last HVT. This last HVT is next to the 4 man link and is swiftly removed by use of a boarding shotgun. The remaining orders are used to run the Ghulam FO forward into the middle of the field to gain his bonus point potentially.

Spiral Turn 3
The last few orders for spiral are spent spite killing the Rui Shi who manages to kill off a reex and the kriigel in some very lucky AROs before finally dying to the Kaeltar specialist who uses his last order to Coup de grace the bot of the match
