Asteroid Blues

This new attention to Novvy Bankok was an annoying thing. While deployed on the planetoid for a while now and in charge of control of silk-trade, the Qapu Khalqi subgroup 14NB was used to clearing smaller conflicts around local pirates, Ikari Company and the silk-supply. With support of the local Druze-force, things were going well and calmly, until the whole sphere took this place into view.
The reveals of the barfight between the local pirates and the unlucky Smurf immideatly raised the alarm-status of the force. The message of Combined Army forces in tunnels of Novvy Bankok could not be ignored, since to many hidden secrets were stored around the space port. So a group under the lead of subgroup 14NB was sent out to check and clear the most important tunnels. It only took a few tunnels to take a preparing Morat force by surprise.

Introduced by the sound of bullets shredding through stone and a dying scream of a scouting Yuan Yuan:’Kornaaaaaarghh…’ the group went into position. With good sight the Djanbazan could clear out a Noctifer and a Zerat-Sniper immideatly, but couldn’t cover the silly approach of a Bashi Bazouk behind enemy lines, directly into death.
In return a outbreaking Daturazi could be stopped by a second Yuan Yuan, directly stabbing him. The Med-Tech tried to recover the first losses, but forgot to pay attention the the dangers of the tunnel. While trying to revive a HMG-bearing Morat, an enormous rock break out and crushed both to slimy residues. Covered by the dust, the Morat hacker advanced from one supply-box to another one and prepared himself to do defend the tunnel by himself.

With Kornak in mind, the Djanbazan took some additional armour from the third supply-box, but could not find a line of fire to the Morat-legend. Switching positions with a advancing Druze, he retreated behind the next corner to set up a trap for the Morat. In the meantime the Druze got rid of some support remotes, but underestimated the new equipment of the Morat hacker. Wounded by his chain rifle, he had to stop on the central supply-box.
Kornak did not take the bait and went to support his hacking friend in the center, who spent all his attention to the tasered Yuan Yuan.

This break could be used by the haqqislamite Doc, who sent out his Nasmat with some experimental drugs to heal the Druze on the central supply-box. With a new boost of motivation, a round out of his marksmenrifle bursted the hackers head, who was looking out for an other advancing Druze. Now unthreatened, this guy walked up on the left side of the tunnel to identify the attending Pneumarch. To avoid Kornaks revenge, both fixed the triggers of their guns to greet him with a hail of bullets.
This did not scare the Morat-leader away, but a few shots later, he had to learn his lesson and go to the ground. The tunnels were cleared.
