Asteroid Blues

We encountered the alien menace today. They charged forth with monstrous beasts while others laid down covering fire to support their advance.
Round 1
Our Haris team of Patsy, ORC, and Kamau hacker moved up to take a tower and started fighting with the enemy Sogarat. They traded some fire and the Hacker boosted the Bulleteer and it moved into cover the other lane around the tower with suppression fire. After moving into an aggressive position the aliens begin their assault. It started with their Haris using their HMG to knock our Kamau sniper unconscious, and open their smoke lanes for the Gakis and Preta to move in. The Sagarot and ORC traded more fire with both getting injured and the ORC ducking for cover. The Preta managed to get into a position to fire its chain rifle at our hacker, Patsy, and the bulleteer. The Kamau managed to dodge it, but Patsy and the bulleteer went down. The Gakis started moving up into the tower the ORC was holding.
Round 2
Bipandra had a lot of work as she first brought back our sniper then the entire link team moved to cover the lane that is open from the bulleteer falling. It also allowed Bipandra to bring back Patsy and the haris was back in action. The ORC managed to kill the Sagarot, and then the haris repositioned off the tower and into more defensive positions. The enemy haris moved up hoping to remove the sniper and open the way up for the core of the alien army to get in close, but our Zulu-Cobra in hiding managed to delay them and the sniper managed to hold his own after that. However, they managed to get our LT who was exposed during the reposition. Even the flames from the enemy just seemed to wash over him without affecting him.
Round 3
With the loss of our LT, we decided to stick together and hold our position. We waited for the inevitable onslaught the aliens would try to deliver onto us. The last of the haris came out and managed to get a shot in on our sniper. He took hits from other members but managed to stay standing despite the wounds. With the sniper down we could see the aliens moving in too attempt killing as many of us as they could. The enemy charged through and tried to kill Bipandra our data tracker. Bipandra, unfortunately, was the only casualty of the charge and we lost our data tracker.
Afterthoughts
It was my first time playing against Morat and it was my opponents first time playing them. They are a very aggressive army, and the jammer on the Zulu-Corba was useless against. The exploding dogs terrified me and the close-range cores seemed cheap and effective. I think my army managed to hold its own against this, but I did something that felt wrong to me when I fell back. I still feel that the Kamau sniper is also really strong, and I like the ORC with Feuerbach in the haris as well.
