Superior One, a position at the spaceport has been compromised.

During a rare moment of downtime, a forward observer on guard duty at the top of a building noticed an infiltrating Varuna force from PanOceania. I swear that it was not us to blow our cover this time by searching out the fight. Only the accompanying Sogarat was able to occupy a firing position by the time the Varuna engaged.

Most of the Varuna occupied strategic positions to pin down our Aggression Force while a spearhead pushed ahead to engage. A 3-man team scaled a building at midfield and an Orc opened fire at the Sogarat using its Feuerbach [photo included]. The Sogarat returned fire with his AP HMG, but the combination of initiative and superior position saw the Orc coming out ahead. Luckily, the armor and bravery of our Sogarat were unbreakable.

During this sustained gunfight, our own haris containing a Suryat engaged a prowling Kamau sniper’s team with his HMG, shooting the Kamau into unconsciousness [photo included]. Next, the Sogarat was finally able to gain the upper hand in the fight against the Orc, getting a shot through its defenses and causing it to cower in fear on top of the roof. An Oznat and her team of Hungries took this opportunity to burst out from cover and dart for the building. They took up positions around the building and the stairs [photo included] while a Preta burst around the rear of the building and unleashed its Chain Rifle into the Varuna troops taking cover there [photo included]. The Preta was slain, but the beast took out a Bulleteer and a hacker in the process.

A paramedic was able to reach the unconcscious Kamau and restore him to health. They then began maneuvering to the other side of the battlefield to assist the 3-man team and others that were being surrounded by Morats. The Orc stood up and shot at the Sogarat several times and was able to finally kill the monstrous warrior [photo included]. Then, instead of facing the Oznat and Hungries, the Orc hopped off of the back of the building and retreating to the cover of another. Patsy killed a couple Gakis with her shock weapon, preventing them from exploding as they dodged closer to PanO units.

The Suryat, Kornak, and a Raktorak attempted to flank the retreating enemy. On the way, they spotted a hidden unit with a jammer and killed him [photo included], then put down a WarCor. The Suryat turned a corner and incapacitated the enemy leader, then unloaded at the Kamau yet again, but was severely wounded and fell unconscious [photo included]. The Raktorak darted around the corner next and tried to incinerate the Kamau with a heavy flamethrower, however, the Raktorak was the only casualty after the exchange. Kornak was finally forced to take things into his own hands; he outshot the Kamau and killed him outright.

During the Varuna turn, the Oznat was slain and much time was taken reviving units, such as the DataTracker.

Now that the Kamau was finally dead, along with his MSV2, the Daturazi team threw caution to the wind and burst from cover and advanced toward the much-contested building under cover of a large number of smoke grenades. At the end of the battle The remaining Raktorak turned the corner to the rear of the building and blew the DataTracker away [photo included].

Finally, our Liaison Officer failed while the Varuna LO was successful.

Though our forces took significant losses, and our operations at the spaceport have been put in jeopardy, and the mission was a loss overall, I truly believe that we were able to get the best of the encroaching Varuna forces and have put fear inside of them. Due to these facts, I recommend that our punishment should be minimal.
