Asteroid Blues

This is the third and last round of the Operation Top Secret Tournament in Leiden. We played Firefight, 300 points Limited insertion.

Aleph was storming the Gorge and commander W1ggs was not having it. He send in lt. Freeman, who hardly was able to set up before aleph acted. The Moran inmediadly boosted his koalaz a managed to take out a Thorakitai FO. A Myrmadon planned to lay a smokescreen to cover the Asura but the Brigada HMG saw past his ODD and put him full of wholes. The Asura took over and spend a lot of effort engaging the Brigada in firefight only to be wounded in the process.

McMurrough jumped in and had to put down smoke to safe his own but from the suddenly appearing proxy sniper (I really hate those things). Rachela the intruder sniper was clear to take down atalanta but got taken down in the returnfire.
HMG Brigada was engaging the Asura without succes.

Atalanta switched positions to take a shot at Murrough with succes. With him and Rachela down my right flank was open. A proxy hacker stormed for a panoply taking extra armor and moved on top posses the Gecko. Lt. Freeman set his multirifle to shock to contest the Gecko's sudden attack but not damage it, managing 2 structural hits! He did manage to fend it off.

Commander W1ggs intervened and set the Gecko free. Time to drop in some Hell! Valerian reached the designated landing zone behind enemy lines. Carefull not to het in the crosshair of the proxy sniper, he managed to take out Atalanta and the sophotec. Able to Line up shots to the Asura he managed to break the Asuras supressive fire but not her armor. The Brigada HMG saw his opportunity and finished the job.
Seeing An opening je engaged the remote FO and the proxy hacker. The last one surviving the attack barely.

Seriously diminished in agency and now being cut off from their retreat the Aleph went into a last ditch attempt at a breach. The Proxy hacker dodged the corner and survived the incoming barage from the Brigada. The Gecko pilot knew what was coming and kept hammering the reset button. Only on the fifth try the proxy landed a overlord attack but the Gecko's ICE managed to hold.

Lt. Freeman knew what needed to happen. The Proxy sniper needed to go. Her overwatch held the attack strong. Lt. climded the building and set fire to the TO sniper burning her to a crisp but the lt. went down in the process.
Valerian the Hellcat was free to act and climded the building to take out the enemy Deva lt. without much trouble.

Nomads win and Aleph was chased from the Gorge!
