View Linked Report - CLICK HERE 400 POINTSFor our final game of the campaign I used the same dumb 400 point list with the Mercs turned on. Three combat groups, 30 models, with less than 10 regular orders between them all. What could go wrong?
Well, a lot. See, Shamash learned his lesson from our first game of the day and wrote a new list up. This list did a lot better but due to dumb luck and poor planning we failed to realize the battle of Achilles versus Tearlach McMurrough. That's right, we had the opportunity to have a cyborg super-soldier fight the Wolfman and we let it slip through our fingers. I put the blame squarely on Achilles, who walked face-first in to Yojimbo's crazy koalas and somehow failed both ARM rolls and died. Small consolation that he took Yojimbo down with him.
This was the last game Shamash and I were able to get in. RazorsEdge was supposed to show up as well and we'd do a nice round-robin kind of thing, but he slept in and then had to go to work so it was just Haqqislam and Aleph slugging it out one final time.
Achilles swept up my left flank and shot the Hakim's Nasmat to death, then shot the Hakim to death, then shot my Libertos to death. That fish-man doesn't have a Cube, Achilles! He's just dead for real! You MURDERER!!!
Yojimbo and McMurrough approach Achilles, but Achilles approaches THEM in return! Achilles closed with Yojimbo, absolutely destroyed him in close combat, but died to the crazy koalas.
Up until now, McMurrough had made over a dozen successful Dodge rolls so I was riding high on a feeling of invincibility. So he jumped on top of this roof to rain double-chain-rifle Hell down on the robot monsters below, failed his Dodge, and got shot like four times, then failed all four ARM rolls, and died.

An epic battle at 400pts to finish off with sounds good to me. A draw in the end is also not too bad. Well done on getting so many games in – a true warrior.
