VIDEO: Achilles knows when he's been beaten fair and square. Thumbs up from Achilles as we lower his mangled cyborg body in to the nearest smelter (we're hoping it slows down how quickly Aleph can build a replacement if we melt the whole damn thing.)

BODY: Rashida Ghali winced as she stepped off the ladder. Her chest and stomach were still sore from where Jamila dug out the shrapnel, and Rashida never liked taking painkillers in the field in case they dulled any incoming sensory input. She glanced quickly over her shoulder to make sure the rest of her squad were in position, then turned the corner with her flamethrower at the ready.
Her heart leaped in to her throat. Achilles looked up from the console he was busy pounding commands in to. She pulled the trigger. Achilles ducked and rolled.

This game started off well for Shamash. He went first and used Achilles to score an early lead in points. The best I could do was ping a crit off him with a HMG Ghulam. Things went very, very well for me on my first turn, though, using my Khawarij/Naffatun/Ghulam fireteam to blast everything with rockets, then melt Achilles in to slag with a heavy flamethrower. Neither Shamash nor I expected Achilles to fail a Dodge roll, and certainly didn't expect him to then fail a series of ARM rolls.
With Achilles dead, Shamash was in Loss of Lieutenant. A new series of objective cards came up, all of which were easily scored by me entirely by being able to run up the field without suffering any serious AROs – the fireteam and Tarik Mansuri were able to move, wipe out opposition, move again, repeat, until I scored a whole suite of objective cards and secure a solid victory.
As long as you don’t play Lego figures instead of miniatures…
I really need to try it, but I wil not try CATOS!
I’m totally stoked about TACOS.
Fireteam rampage – love it. Never waste a break when someone (thing) like Achilles has a bad day,
