Lieutenant Rashida Ghali punched a code in to the softly-glowing number pad in the wall of the tunnel, and the door in front of her squad unlocked with barely-audible metallic clunk. She turned to survey her troopers.
Wazir, her hacker, looked at her through his heavy visor, his soft voice the loudest thing in the tunnel. “What's the op, boss?”
“HHC intelligence says there are two individuals quote-unquote of interest on the other side of this door. Apparently they made off with some material from Jiyuan, but what exactly they made off with is as-yet unknown. Our job, which is in the strictest of terms a rescue mission, is to make contact with these two and to find anything they may have stashed elsewhere in the complex.”
Hamdan, seated on Camilla, spoke up. “Complex?” Short and to the point – Rashida always appreciated her monkeywrench.
“It's an abandoned depot of some kind. A central office tower alongside a cluster of medical buildings and power stations, and then just a mess of catwalks, ducts, and abandoned dumpsters. Probably no shortage of medical waste in there, so don't let anybody eat anything, eh?”
Jamila said nothing, but gave a wry grin and a wink. Always quiet – her medic and her monkeywrench had a lot in common.
“With any luck we're in and out with the intel we need. Farooq, you're on point. Hamdan, Camilla's job is to give Wazir a boost.”
Hamdan gave the silent Kameel an affectionate pat on her antenna array.
“Remember, everyone, we're not expecting any resistance. If we meet any, though, don't pretend like we're friends. No witnesses, no crimes, got it?”
Everyone nodded.
“Now then,” says Rashida, as she lit her flamethrower up. “On with the rescue mission.”

For our inaugural game RazorsEdge and I tried a new objective system we found recently, called TACOS (The Alternate Card-based Objective System). You can see it here, by the Warcor taylor:
https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/alternate-play-system-tacos-mk-ii.578/
It's a fun system because the game constantly shifts turn-to-turn. The game ended in a draw, though, because RazorsEdge turned in to an unbelievable dodge-machine at the end very end, nimbly dodging a full four volleys of HMG fire from my Ghulam fireteam. A nice, neat draw of 3-3 but a fun way to start the campaign.
My apologies for not having more pictures of RazorsEdge's models - I completely forgot to take a team photo of his crew.
I also want to point out that this is actually a 100-point game. My local group and I decided to start with 100 points, then escalated to 150 after the first few games against each other, then up to 200, etc. I assume that this is OK, but if not the AI Historian can delete these later on - my sincere apologies if this is construed as cheating or anything since the input forms only allows for 150 as a minimum. I promise we'll move up to 150 after the second report.
For our first report I decided to with the Cowboy Bebop OST for music. Enjoy!
TACOS system is absolutely awesome, we use it very often in my player group.
Good game

Good job.
Great report plus cat picture!
You’re a game playing machine. Best I can hope for is 3 in a week, and that’s a stretch.

Love the walkway terrain. 🙂
I feel for Farook, its a situation I’ve experienced myself. Still, a draw is a draw.
The cat tax is mandatory.
GREEBO!!!
Solid report.
Tha cat tax is nice
nice battle report
I haven’t heard of or tried TACOS (the cards, not the food =P). I’ll have to check it out! Great report!
#BromadFistBump
Nice to see TACOS at play keep up the good work!
Nicely done! Poor Farook; I know exactly how he feels.
Dig the idea of doing a picture report, but they are a little hard to follow. Might try taking more “action shots” from the perspective of what you’re reporting on.
Picture report, interesting. Seems like a fun game.
Faruk needs to go to the temple and seek forgiveness for his sins…
Cool table greetings to greebo
warhammer red rulers XD
So close! Well done and nice models!
