“Yes sir. We suspect Combined activity, but we can’t get a clear reading.”
“Grab anyone not on duty; we need everyone we can get to investigate.”

“Damn, can’t see a thing out there. All right, defensive positions! Once we have a better idea of where they are, move up!”
“Sir! I see a Wildcat and a Morlock troupe out there! We got Nomads out there!”
“Nomads? Poor bastards must have been sepsitorized. I’m calling in for O-12 reinforcements. Protect the gun battery until they arrive!”

"Roger that Raider Blue. New missions for you: Knock out the transmission antenna above and forward of your location by any means. We suspect they're using it to coordinate."

Nomads won the lieutenant roll-off, and chose to deploy second. I took first turn, and my Irmandinhos ran up the field toward his Wildcat. An Intruder revealed himself, but the shot went wide. Blue ran up, triggering a mine. While he failed to dodge, he made his armor save. He proceeded to run up to the antenna console, but, in order to bait out a camo marker, ran up to a nearby building and planting a d-charge. Tan then detonated the d-charge, giving me the Sabotage classified. My dog-warrior then attempted a flanking maneuver, but ended up getting glued by a prowler. A foxtrot was able to down the Intruder, while Tan was able to give him a good scrub and cleanse him of the adhesive. The dog-warrior jumped over the wall into a literal minefield, but managed to dodge or tank the mines and weapons fire. He charged forward to protect his comrades, and took out both Wildcat and an HMG Intruder with his chain rifles. He took a pair of shots in the exchange, and transformed.

The Nomads started their first turn in loss of lieutenant, with the Wildcat bleeding out on the ground. My opponent spend most of his command tokens moving the Morlocks up into close combat with the Dog-Warrior, eventually knocking him out. Meanwhile, his heckler moved up, and forced my Chasseur into cover with repeated shots.

“Lead, this is Van Zant. On the field and on the- OW! You bastard!”
“Van Zant, come in!”
*Grunting, then a bang*
“Lead, this is Van Zant. Sniper tagged me. I’ve put him down, but I’m bleeding out bad over here. I’m gonna take…down that heckler. Then I think…I’ll take…a nap.”
“Van Zant. Van Zant!”

“Wolf One, this is Lead. We need you to clear a path to the tech-coffin. Take out the Morlock and Zero.”
“Rojer zhat, Lead. On zhe move!”
*Blam* *Blam*
“Zhe vay has been cleared Lead.”
“Great job, Wolf One! Alright team: Move up! Raider Bandit, flush out the last blip.”
“Damn it, I want a new callsign after I get my arm fixed!”
“Can it Raider Bandit. Take ’em out!”
“Roger that Lead. Moving up and- Looking out! Spectre in play! Spectre in play!”

“Boys, we have incoming from above! Looks like we’re playing Skeet. Pull!”
“Oof, ain’t no coming back from that! He’s all over the place! Talk about painting the town red!”
“Focus! We still have the Spectre to- Hold fire men! Stand down, repeat: Stand Down! O-12 reinforcements have arrived! Please cooperate with them. We don’t need any trouble from them”.

On my second turn, Van Zant entered the scene behind the Intruder sniper. At point blank range, the sniper landed a crit with sniper rifle, wounding Van Zant. Going Dogged, Van Zant finished the sniper in close combat, before moving on and dropping the Heckler from behind. The Loup Garous then proceeded to clear out the remaining Zero and Morlock, killing them with viral rounds. A pair of coordinated orders got Vassily (my Liaison Officer) and my Veteran Kazak datatracker into base with the tech coffin. One-Armed Joe the Irmandinho went to chain rifle the last Morlock and a camo token, but the reveal of a Spectre changed the plan. The Spectre made the save against Irmandinho’s chain rifle, while the Spectre’s shot missed the Irmandinho.

Nomads started Round 2 in retreat, with only three models on the board. The Spectre moved up to contest the tech-coffin, knocking out the Loup Garous in the process. The Veteran Kazak tried to ignite the Spectre, but he was able to shrug off the flames. A hellcat, late to the party, deployed, but was immediately splattered by Vassily and the Kazak, failing both saves against T2.

At the end of game, Vassily was able to successfully contact O-12, while the Nomads were not, giving Ariadna another point.
