We were on our way back to Liberty cargo, out of the Maze infighting. Our Jotum TAG suffered heavy damage during the confrontation with Qapu Khalgi unit lurking in the maze and our Machinist decided it’s necessary to perform general repair and diagnostics before returning to the maze.
Once we submitted the TAG to the repair bay, an alert siren warned us of enemy intrusion. We took position around the signal beacon in the area. Then the enemies started literally falling from the sky. It was the Yuan Yuan scum from Novyy Bangkong, whom the Qapu Khalgi operatives aligned with once more.
Our Fusilier Hacker cpl. Palmi Arthursson tried to hack their landing coordinates, but they’ve come prepared, with a support of Kamael drone. Cpl. Arthursson managed to divert only one of these criminals, who landed on some Liberty Cargo container ready to ship and was shot down to pieces by both our Sierra Drone and sgt. Fisker, the Nisse sniper. But the damage was already done.
One of the Yuans damaged the drone with his Chain Rifle, sacrificing his life for disabling it and allowing his comrade freedom of movement. This Yuan did shot our support from Acontecimento, cpl. Ramos, and incidentally destroyd the mine she laid before as well. The he threw a smoke to cover his approach towards the beacon, grabbed it while our Fusiliers was distracted by the smoke and run away, carefully crouching to avoid firelines from our sniper.
Our Machinist tried to repair the drone through his Palbot, but the little drone run into the line of sight of enemy Ghulam sniper, who revealed himself being a Hafza armed with Heavy Rocket Launcher. Two hits by Rocket launcher did burned both the Palbot and Sierra into pile of molted metal, with no chance to repair them again. Losing our heeavist weapon for good, I gave an order to Locust Operative Tiberio Cilento to go for enemy beacon. He slipped out of sight of Hafza rocketeer, killed lone Ghulam FO guarding their beacon a grabbed it, running back into safety. Fgt. Fisker the shot down the Hafza and covered his retreat.
Yuan Yuan, although obviously not quite voluntarily, ran away with our beacon back to the enemy. He passed the beacon to the Janissary Doctor, who advanced towards him. It was obvious that the Janissary is the important one here (OOC: the datatracker) and Yuan is just here to do the dirty work. If he decided otherwise, the Haqqis would probably shoot him themselves. The enemies then tried to shower grenades to our Locust, but he dodged all their attempts. In their final move, they’d moved their Flashpulse drones and activated the Overclock to guard against our aggression.
Sgt. Fisker moved forward and found a good shooting nest against the Janissary, although being exposure to one of their drones as well. He ignored the drone and while was blinded by the flashpulse, he killed the Janissary with hi-calibre round. The Locust run back to the safety, although he needed to choose a longer route to avoid being incitentally shot by the enemies.
They’d decided to do otherwise. Yuan Yuan came back, initially running towards us, but then an order from their commander stopped him. He run back for the beacon near the dead body of the Janissary, took it and returned back to the safety near the remnants of their forces.
It was clear that we’ve got no chance get our beacon back now. We decided instead to identify their forces through Telemetry to get an important intel to Hexahedron officers. This task was done by sgt. Garnett, who observed one of the drones.
I hope this information would be welcomed to the HQ. I also have to express a concern about Haqqislamite incursions into Liberty Cargo. If they’d send such scout party going for our navigation beacons, they’d might be preparing something big, despite pretending being the friends of the Hyperpower.

(OOC: It was more fun then a serious battle, running on the table and trying to hide our troop with a beacon)

Sgt. Fisker from the Nisses lurking.
Sierra drone and the Fusilier hacker (black as he was scorched by the burning drone)
Yuan Yuan - infamous unit, inglorious end.
Locust Operative infiltrates towards the enemy...
