Asteroid Blues

Chiang´s team was still in hiding when the Haqqislam forces arrived. On the left side the Hsien warrior was positioned, hiding behind a building. in the center, on a building giving higher ground the Daofei and a Guilang sniper were positioned. On the right side, backed up by a trio of Zanshis, a Zuyong invincible hold position behind a quonset hut, Chiang was sitting only two meters away from him, awaiting the enemy. A tiger soildier waited in a shuttle, orbiting the site.

When they finally arrived, they first set up a strong defensive position. A Ghulam team with missile launcher and sniper took positions on the left flank,supported by a Druze, while on the right, a shihab remote climbed onto a hut to cover the advance, backed up by a Druze and an EVO. In the Center a Djanbazan got into position behind the chapel.

When the enemy advanced, the Druze, which turned out to be a Hacker, shot a pitcher at the generator´s wall, near the Hsien. Wich enabled a Hawwa hacker, who exposed himself from cover, to immobilized the Hsien warrior. Two Yuan-Yuan appeared, one on each flank, and covered the haqqislam´s advance on the right side in smoke.

The strong defensive positions, the Ghulam fire team on the left side and the shihab remote with the HMG prevented the StateEmpires troops from leaving their positions. The Tiger Soldier tried to break the tie and jumped in near the center trying to eleminate the Yuan-Yuan, but was blinded by the Warcor´s flash pulse. The Daofei revealed himself, firing at the Gulam missile launcher and dropping him, but was himself shot by two lucky hits of the Ghulam sniper. Things looked grim, wehen the Guilang sniper crouched to the rim of the tower he lied at, and shot the pitcher, the druze had placed. Then he moved further, destroying the shihab remote. The Hsien shrug off the immobilization and moved for a better position, and the Zuyong did the same.

The haqqislam forces advanced on the right flank, the Djanbazan and the Yuan Yuan managed to wound the Zuyong and forced him back into cover. In the center the Hawwa killed the Tiger soldier in a shotgun shoot out.

Again the Guilang sniper took the best out of his higher position and won the sniper duel between him and the Ghulam sniper. Then he changed target to fire some shots at the hHawwa hacker, killing him instantly. After seeing his work done, the Guilang got back into camouflage. On the lower levels the Hsien warrior got round the generator building and found himself facing the Druze with the killer hacking device, which he shot with his HMG. The he furher advanced into the haqqislam half of the battlefield.

On the right side, the Haqqislam started a last attack on the Zuyongs position and manged to kill the brave Terracotta soldier. The Djanbazan tried to detect the Guilang sniper but couldn´t ind him. The Yuan Yuan tried to hunt down Chiang, but met his fate in the Boarding shotgun of the Daoying Lieutnant.

The field was nearly won, her troops holding most of the terrain, but in her first command she wanted to make a statement. She moved to the edge of the quonset hut and aimed at the Djanbazar. She fired two shots, one to bring him down and one to get sure he won´t stand up. The she allowed the ret of the haqqislam soldiers to retreat. If the high command guess was right, this demonstration should disencourage further actions in the Yu Jing sector.
