Bloodbath

This was a savage fight, in which we both forgot about the Exclusion Zone. Bear that in mind during your reading!

Both datatrackers were dead by the end of Player 2 Turn 1, and all but one of the decoys were in the ground by the end of it.

The game boiled down to control of the consoles, and Player 2 managed to win the day on that front.

The board at the end. Camo markers at bottom center and top right are leftovers - everything else is as-is, I think
A crashed Tornadodo, whose 3 pilots and the 3 prisoners are the HVTs that we hope to unmask, provides a Low-Vis and Saturation zone

Nomad Turn 1

Nomad Turn 1
Heckler kills Sheskiin and Victor

Immediately, my Puppetbot with AP Marksman Rifle goes after Gwailo, eats a heavy rocket launcher and dies.

This loss puts a huge dent in my plans, cuz my other two long-range attack pieces are a RiotGRRL Spitfire and Intruder HMG. Both have MSV, and so can't see Gwailo!

Improvising, I use the Intruder to delete the Nox fireteam leader, then snipe away at what I can. Shasvastii armor rolls are pretty good, so the Intruder doesn't make much progress.

I charge with the RiotGRRL, attempting to put Victor in the ground, but he gets up White Noise after taking only one wound.

I run the Heckler up next, forcing a dodge vs the E/Marat, and put two BSG rounds into Sheskiin and Victor, killing both.

I haven't claimed any Consoles, though, which is going to be a major setback.

Shas Turn 1

Shasvastii turn 1

Without Sheskiin, Shasvastii lacks a major attack piece.

The Taigha creatures eat what they can, including the Riot GRRL datatracker, but otherwise get beaten up.

The Caliban and a Seed Soldier move forward, identifying my decoys and designated target. A Shrouded attempts to BSG my HVT, but he makes the armor saves! That doesn't save him from a Taigha creature, who eats him alive.

Nomad Turn 2

Nomad Turn 2

It's time to grab consoles and kill decoys.

Bill has my Puppets locked down, and four orders of intruder only puts him into NWI.

With no better recourse, my puppets advance, tagging two antennas and identifying the Designated Target, which intruder puts into the ground.

I'm pretty sure the Zero grabs the last antenna on the right and the morlock kills the decoy over there, but that could be next turn.

Shas Turn 2

Shas Turn 2

The Gwailo kills my Intruder, but and the Caliban eats my Krakot with Protheion. The Seed-Soldier grabs the last antenna, to identify another decoy, which Bill kills.

Nomad Turn 3

Nomad Turn 3

Remember that the left-hand side has that Saturation Zone. This whole fight will take place in it.

My puppets hustle and have a gunfight with the Shasvastii. We manage to kill Bill, the Gwailo, and strip one wound off the Caliban, but don't kill it.

I've claimed all three consoles, but I need to defend them. I move folks up for ARO.

Shas Turn 3

Shas final turn

All Shasvastii has to do is claim two antennas, and they win.

One of those Shas markers is a limited-camo Seed Soldier, a unit that turns out to be crucial.

I'm not able to stop the Caliban from claiming the objective, nor am I able to stop the limited-camo FO from grabbing the central console.

It boils down to the WIP rolls on the consoles, but he makes them, no problem.
