VS Tohaa
Dorian - As Tohaa

This is the report of a commander close to mutiny.

I’m not talking about the Nomad cause. I grew up in Bakunin, I’ve toiled with our brothers in Corregidor, and I know I can trust Tunguskan support when it comes down to it.

I’m talking about the attack dogs of the Human Sphere, rabid military dogs don’t care who they attack. I’m talking about Aleph, who have decided to seize by force this sector that we call home.

Well, if Aleph will stab us in the back, then maybe I need other allies. Morat allies. A few have come forward, with offers to help defend our sector. Maybe I’ll take their help.

Thematic note: I’m employing Krakot renegades, but maybe these are actually Morat footsoldiers.

**************************************************

I win the lieutenant roll and elect to go first. Dorian actually has to make a list, so I choose to go first to let him do that, but it turns out to be a good idea.

**Nomad Turn 1:** Tohaa has four key targets that I want to eliminate, from left to right of the board: a Draal SMG, a Rasail Spitfire, a Nikoul Viral Sniper, and Armand Le Muet.

My main pieces are a Riot GRRL spitter with Morlocks and a Krakot on the left, an Intruder backed up by Morlocks in the center, and the Puppetbot squad on the right.

First, my Intruder (who is Group 2) spends 4 regular orders and one irregular order battering the Nikoul into oblivion. A lucky crit on the first die roll is really helpful, since it wounds Nikoul despite the Symbiomate. After that, I push the Riot GRRL forward and, shooting through a building, put the Rasail in the ground.

This opens up a path for my Krakot to rush the Draal SMG. The Krakot only strips the Draal’s symbiomate, but the Draal has a Chaksa and Kumotail backing it up. Thanks to the extra damage of templates, Krakot is able to put both in the ground.

I now push with the Puppets. Turns out, Armand is actually a Taagma, which is a good trick, but it dies in flames. I’m able to get my Puppets very far forward and fire some boarding shotguns into the cheerleaders in the back, but my Puppets are not in great position.

**Tohaa Turn 1:** Dorian spends an order shuffling his troops around, but manages to get a Triad together with a Sukuel FO and two Makauls. Before rushing with these guys, the Draal attempts to shoot at my Morlock, but I roll a 12 on smoke and that beats out all four of the Draal’s shots. The Sukuel team advances, killing the Puppets (one was disconnected due to a mis-play on my part), but that’s about all he can accomplish on this turn.

**Nomad Turn 2:** During the impetuous faze, my left-hand morlock and Riot GRRL are able to kill the Draal – frenzy getting some work done! Next, I have the Riot GRRL fight with the Sukuel, who is then finished off by the Intruder. I have a Heckler BSG move up and BSG the two Makauls at once, taking them both out.

I then spend four orders accomplishing a classified (Net Undermine, but I got unlucky) and claim two antennas.

**Tohaa Turn 2:** He’s in retreat, so we end.

Aftermath of Krakot (died meleeing Draal). These Morats, they make excellent allies...
