'That's Yu Jing ahead, isn't it?' Fareeha said, uneasily adjusting her grip on her spitfire. 'They're our allies.' Shakti only made an affirmative hum, her eyes still staring blankly into Maya. 'Aren't they?' Fareeha continued, clearly confused.

''Course they are,' Shakti said, distractedly. 'Lots of people are our allies. We serve all of humanity.'

Fareeha made a soft, huffing laugh. 'Right, of course,' she said. 'But Pan-O and Yu Jing...'

Shakti snapped abruptly back into reality. 'Just need the occasional reminder of that fact,' she said, staring right into Fareeha's eyes with the most disconcerting grin.

One of the biggest obstacles I've had, as an ALEPH player, is the simple lack of bodies on the board. Other players can weather a few deaths, but one bad roll on my part is devastating. So when the Operations Subsection came out, I started wondering what it might be like to have a few more models. I started wondering... What if I used so many models I had to borrow one from thepoorman?

Fareeha is a Hassassin imposter. We're pretty sure she isn't here to murder any of -us.- Here, she's declining to take part in the group photo because she's still weirded out that we're gunning at the people we supposedly work for.
The role of Apsara Cyberdancer is played by a sophotect. Also depicted, the Dakini squad she's enhancing.
Team Deva Station! Fareeha can go first.

We're playing TACOS, which meant that I could grab an objective point immediately by casting Assisted Fire on the HMG-brandishing Dakini.

(The moment after I typed that, I realised that 'casting' was a mistake. The moment after that, I realised that it was not.)

Things began on a grand note for Yu Jing. As the Devas moved forward, their sniper popped out of hiding, zeroing in on Fareeha, and was promptly reduced to a fine paste by her Spitfire. Team Bestest Robot sidled up the catwalks, bouncing a whole lot of HMG fire with a Zhuyong before critting him down.

BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAPT
Loss of Lieutenant didn't stop Tai Sheng from putting the Dakini down, though. In the background, you can almost see their paramedic failing to fix the Lieutenant.

Continuing to let Fareeha go in front, she had a merry time lighting up another Zhuyong. The Deva Paramedic scooted out to the Console, which was still heavily monitored by surviving Zhuyong.

Hey, a point's a point.

On their turn, things continued to not go well in dice-themed ways. Tai Sheng laid down some devastating fire on the Deva squad, which served only to knock them into NWI because robots. The paramedic continued to fail to fix the sniper, and the unconscious Zhuyong rolled a Natural 20 on the automedkit.

The Zhuyong died, the GM got two Threat, and we about called it around there.
