Unmasking
IT would seem our recent efforts against Aleph forces did not go un-noticed. We were running a standard decoy formation to transport our recently acquired data back for analysis when our convoy was disabled while passing through The Chimneys of the Gallery Maze and we were set upon by Aleph reinforcements which we assume were responding to their compatriots’ distress calls. We acted quickly and deployed to counter any advances with our full aggression. We had also identified several Aleph targets in the AO which high command had designated as targets for elimination.
We elected for a strong attack led by the Su Jian and once our forward operatives had identified the enemy designated target, advanced with all the might of the jade empire to eliminate them. We then feinted back into a defensive position to brace for the counter attack.
The aleph forces gave us no quarter and my forces were decimated with robotic efficiency. I was forced to make some desperate calls in an attempt to salvage our position but these were in vain as all three of our civilian consultants were cut down. Once they had achieved their objective the Aleph forces disappeared as quickly as they had set upon us leaving us to gather and treat our wounded.
The shame of this defeat will haunt me not only for the loss of our objective, but the senseless loss of life at the hands of those who claim to be humanity’s saviours.
Thought of the day – We sacrifice our lives for the promise of peace, but are we still prisoners of the AI?
