Note: You will have to excuse some of the pictures. We were playing at night, on an outdoor patio. The lighting wasn't always the best for the angles we had. To compensate, I tried to label all the units involved in each order.
Aleph win 9 - 1
In hindsight, I should have played my first turn differently, giving the Dakini better range bands against the Haiduk and hopefully saving some orders to put the rest of my army into better positions. This might have help against Shekiin, but it's hard to say. Shekiin is pretty good. I also shouldn't have revealed my post human to shoot Shekiin during my opponents active turn. I was trying to stop the bleeding, but it didn't help. Finally, I made some mistakes with misplaying my units (e.g. not knowing their equipment or how the equipment worked). With Shekiin's run, this game felt like a loss until the last turn. My opponent played well and I made some mistakes. Achilles really saved the game for me.
This was a great game: a lot of fun and very swingy.
Nicely detailed report. Hope we can get some games in together next year!
I think the table and shadows look cool!
The ol’ “smash Achilles in to your opponent” strategy, eh? A classic.
Very good batrep, I do like the edited pictures. Great job!
Well documented and written. Careful not to play Achilles too much and turn him into your Achilles’ Heel
Achilles is almost always the focal point, if he is fielded. Your report really shows a lot of effort. Easy to follow and well editied. Commenation well deserved!
