Asteroid Blues

Another day dawned upon the Onyx base at The Chimneys. Or would dawn, if the base were somewhere else than the heart of the planetoid, drifting across the space on the boarder of known solar systems. Commander Vir'Tak went for his morning drink that humans called "coffee". Some time ago, they recovered a supply of that beverage from human warehouse, and after some research they reverse-engineered process needed to actually preper this drink. Despite Za'Chara, who insisted that those coffee bean are supposed to be chewn raw... Anyways, since that time this drink became very popular among his crew. He passed the Unidrone storage bay when he heard lively discussion from inside. He stopped to listen. It seems Unidrones were having spirited debate about some thing called "Pogemon". And the discussion kept getting intense, to the point he heard a plasma discharge. Vir'Tak stormed the bays doors.
- Hey, no firing inside the base, how many times do I have to remind you? - Vir'Tak shouted. The group of arguing Unidrones froze and looked at the entrace.
- Sorry Commander, but she said Bulbasaur is better choice than Squirtle! - One of them exlaimed pointing at the other, second hand waving.
- Of course it is, it has poison and does DoT! - angrily responded the other Unidron, stomping her mechanical feet.
- But during first two stages it is better against fire types!
- Whoa, whoa, calm down - interrupted Vir'Tak - Keep the discussion civil and don't cause any trouble to Doc and the engineering team. Also I have no idea what you are talking about, so maybe...
He stopped. Whole bay of Unidrones was looking at him with their eyes glowing with excitement.
- You don't know?! - they asked almost in unisono, then the closes one grabbed him and began pulling him towards the console - Look, look! Its this new human thing!
Resigned, Vir'Tak looked at the console. He stepped on a landmine here, if the Unidrones were so excited about something he would have to listen to the whole thing...

- So we need to raid this supply post to restock our inventory? - asked Kraal after reading the objectives.
- Yes, thats the gist of it. - said Vir'Tak while typing something onto the console.
- Why here? There are supply post closer to our location.
- Two reasons really. First one is that we have raided them earlier, so humans will be better prepared. Second, there is a special cargo there I need you to gather.
- Which is?
- A supply of "Pogemon" games. For the Unidrones, it seems they are heavy into it.
Kraal shook his head
- Never heard of it. Is it that important?
- Well, it seems for them it is. They kept me for 2 hours, talking about it. I missed my morning coffee because of that. - Vir'Tak shrugged - But really, they deserve it. We had some outstanding successes thanks to them and this will be great way to reward them. Plus, when they are happy they are more deadly, so its a win-win for us.
- Understand Commander. I will get those supplies then.

I have to apologise for the pictures here. I screwed up and forgot to take pictures of the deployment and part of the first turn. My opponent was gratious enought to re-do deployment in order for me to take pictures, that is why there may be some discrepancies.

Anyways, Yu-Jing won the roll and chose the initiative. So they deployed first, with Hsien and Rui Shi accompanied by Celestials with smoke LGL. Plus four camo markes near every objective. One thing that was obvious was that there was a LOT of Impetous orders. Knowing this, Onyx forces deployed to have as many ARO as possible. Also, fearing some combat-jumping, exploding Liu Xing I tried to avoid clumping them together.

Since we were playing Supplies from the Asteroid Blues, we both have Wild Bill with rifle on our side.

Yu-Jing turn 1
Yu-Jing started of course with Impetous moves. One Kuang Shi failed its Dodge and got shot by Unidrone PSR, but rest of Kuang Shi and both Shaolin either passed their dodges or were out of sight for anyone to shoot them. On the right side, Shaolin covered the apporach to the objective with smoke and Guilang FO promptly used it to extract supply box and run away with it. On the left side Hsien HMG made a raid around the flank, coming near the left objective. At this point he stepped out from cover, trying to flank Onyx forces. Only to be intercepted by Noctifer ML and ARO from Unidron ML who just so happened to have LoS. Hsien tried to shoot both at once and managed to outshoot Unidron ML, which passed the ARM roll. Unfortunately for him, he did not outshoot the Noctifer and was killed by his missile. The camo on the left side near the objective reveals himself to be another Guilang FO, who puts a mine and recamos himself.

Onyx turn 1
Except for one Kuang Shi, all impetous troop were in the open, which was promptly used by Unidron link. Unidron with PSR took out Kuang Shi and Shaolin behind him near the middle, then repostioned herself to take down Shaolin on the right side, near the place objective was placed. Rodok Paramedic jumped towards the middle objective, grabbed the supply crate and retreated towards the cover. On the left side, M-Drone discovered the mine, then Ikadron run over and tried to flame both mine and camoed Guilang. Guilang made his dodge, Ikadron tanked the mine. M-Drone grabbed the left suppluy crate and retreated. Rodok KHD moved around the building and shoot Guilang. Guilang reacted by dropping the mine and died. On the right side, second Ikadron used his last order to catch the second Guilang carrying the supply crate with his flamers. Guilang dies and drops the crate.

Yu-Jing turn 2
Yu-Jing starts in Loss of Lieutenant. Last remaining Kuang Shi grabs the supply crate, and Tiger soldier lands on the back of the Unidrons. Manages to kill one Unidron and tries to kill second one but is killed in reactive fire.

Onyx turn 2
Q-drone drives forwards to kill the Kuang Shi with the supply crate. After a lot of shooting he finally manages to do that, but is unable to pick it up due to lack of orders. Kerr-Nau moves on the left in order to get an angle on the Celestial with Smoke LGL and Rui Shi that is behind him. He triggers mine by accident, which kills Rodok KHD but Kerr-Nau passes ARM. After that, Kerr-Nau shoots and kills Celestial Guard and Rui Shi behind him.

Yu-Jing turn 3
Wild Bill comes out kicking, shoots down the Q-drone at 8 inches and grabs the supply box. He then runs behind the building in the Yu-Jing deployment zone. Libertos tries to kill Kerr-Nau with light shotgun, but Kerr-Nau is still on the roll and kills Libertos. Liu Xing makes his appearance, lands in Onyx deployment zone and guns down M-Drone who was carrying the supply box.

Onyx turn 3
Nexus hacker tries to kill Liu Xing but only manages to score one wound after few orders. Liu Xing retreats behing a building. This time Onyx Wild Bill drawes his trusty handguns and kills Liu Xing. After that he grabs the supply box near the downed M-Drone. Kerr-Nau manages to kill Zhanshi hacker on his way to enemy's Wild Bill with the supply box. After intense firefight he finally manages to kill Wild Bill and the agem ends.
