Asteroid Blues

It was supposed to be an easy mission to disrupt ALEPH’s presence on the Asteroid.
The team was prepared to get in, quickly destroy as many antennas as possible and get out before reinforcements arrived, repelling initial defenders with support of a Kriza Borak and a Vertigo Drone.

Spectrs, deployed in the area, however, reported a surprising lack of ALEPH’s or any other Hyperpowers’ forces. Furthermore, the team recieved a request from Haqqislam’s forces to retrieve their wounded soldier located in the Zone of Operations, who survived an unreported skirmish against an unknown force.

The team cautiously moved forward, until it was ambushed by an unexpected opponent – Shasvastii.

Despite the team’s best efforts to fight back, its members were quickly shot and cut down, their weapons unable to pierce through infamous Cadmus Sheskiin’s Nanoscreen, who approached them with a terrifying speed.

The alien devoured soldier by soldier, until finally reaching a lonely Spektr, struggling to protect the wounded Haqqislam soldier. It consumed the unfortunate man right in front of the terrified Spektr, only turning to the infiltrator when it was done with its gruesome feast.

This information was retrieved from a damaged Transductor Zond. Such a tragic loss truly shows, that we must focus Humanity’s resources to repell the alien menace, instead of the endless infighting.

We hope that we, along with Haqqislam Commanders, would be able to hammer this thought into Hyperpowers’ minds, be it by diplomacy, money or force.
