Asteroid Blues

The target, a drunk Yuan Yuan, had escaped. The Dahshat Force followed him deeper into You Jing territory, where their final confrontation with the Yu Jing forces would take place.

"Blast, Sushi is down!!" yelled Valerya Gromoz into the group chat. She was talking about the Rui Shi remote that was a key player in her fire team. A Kuang Shi had come out of nowhere, blowing the little remote to pieces before it could even react.

"Dahshat, we are so close to that blasted bounty, take out these bloody Yu Jing and let's get back to the bar, first round is on me" Miranda Ashcroft shouted into the group chat. In answer, the Sum Rider revved his heavy motorbike and propelled himself towards the enemy forces, popping smoke as he went.

McMurrough, also fuelled by this rare statement from Miranda, rushed forward. Throwing his back into one of the many nearby buildings, he pulled a pin on a grenade. Seconds later the grenade landed next to a Yu Jing operative. A particularly deadly one at that; a Ninja with a Killer Hacking device. The Ninja went down in a hail of shrapnel.

Bounty Hunters have a habit of bringing new toys out with them on Ops. Most of the time, they end up being fancy new sights, improved armour or even motorbikes. Sometimes, they are however Sniper Rifles!

"I got him!", screamed the Bounty Hunter excitedly. He had just taken out the enemy HMG armed Hsien Heavy Infantry. "All call signs, you're free to advance" Miranda said calmly into the group chat.

With the enemy fire base down, McMurrough charged further forward, smoking the area as he went. It didn't take long for more of the Yu Jing forces to fall from his deadly grenades. Confidence can be a dangerous thing though. He had missed the enemy second in command, a Pheasant Imperial Agent. Sneaking up behind the dog soldier, he prepared to strike him down. At the last moment, McMurrough realised his overconfidence and swung round. In less than a second both of them were down, simultaneously striking the death blow.

One speed bump remained for the Dahshat forces. A heavily armed Yan Huo had taken up a defensive position near the centre of the AO. He had overestimated the effectiveness of his armour however. Skulking nearby was a Shotgun wielding Libertos Freedom Fighter. He sneaked forward, leant over the building wall he was positioned behind and blasted the Yan Huo. The Yu Jing soldier, slowly collapsed to the ground.

"Now, let's find that drunk Yuan Yuan" said Miranda. "You're still getting the drinks in right?" replied McMurrough. Miranda laughed...
