The Imperial Agent smiled to herself. The plan had gone perfectly and the two Dahshat mercenary groups had torn each other apart. "That will teach them for interfering in Imperial business" she thought...

The plan had been to conduct a Show of Force Operation within the Liberty Cargo Spaceport Area of Operations. However, the Op went downhill when accusations of Shasvastii infiltration started to be thrown about.

"Keep your heads down!" Yelled the seasoned Brawler over the group chat. "They're putting down a smoke screen to cover their advance". The Brawler sniper was well equipped for such a purpose. Looking through her Sniper scope and utilising her Multispectral Visor she could see right through it. "Garhhrr!" the Bounty Hunter to her left went down in a hail of bullets. "They've got a Rui Shi" she warned. Another cry from the Bounty Hunter guarding the rear stairwell came out. "Blast, I warned those two to keep their heads down" she thought. Despite her team falling apart around her the Brawler was not phased, she waited for the Rui Shi to become exposed and then she'd take the shot. Moments later, the enemy Rui Shi emerged from behind a large crate. A burst of fire emerged from both sides, and the Brawler sniper went down in a burst of blood.

A loud roar came from the smoke and a large Dog Soldier ran through the smoke towards the Fanous remote ripping it clean in two. Observers would have been forgiven for believing this to be none other than McMurrough, the famous mercenary. However, they would be mistaken. The real McMurrough did stand up and from his nearby position unloaded two chain rifles into his impersonator, taking it down. "There can only be one!" he declared, hefting his sword into the air.

The McMurrough Impersonator

Elsewhere another loud, more machine-like, roar came out. It was the sound of a Kum Rider travelling through the narrow alleys that made up the centre of the AO. Whilst McMurrough's allies had prepared an ambush for such an event, it fell to the mercenary himself to take the Kum Rider off his bike, using his chain rifles to deadly effect once again.

Continuing on his killing spree, McMurrough launched himself up onto a building, unpinning a grenade as he went. Before he landed he lightly tossed the grenade into the air, allowing the momentum of his advance to carry the grenade over the building and onto the nearby enemy fire team.

The enemy Rui Shi remote was McMurrough's next target. He vaulted the building unloading his chain rifles into the remote before landing softly on the ground. Before he could enjoy his success though, he took a close-range shotgun blast to his left side. An enemy Bashi Bazouk had managed to infiltrate its way onto the flank. Knowing that the Rui Shi remote, although heavily damaged, posed the highest threat, McMurrough rolled out from behind his cover, unleasing one chain rifle towards the remote and the other towards the Bashi Bazouk. Once the weapons had been unloaded, he did not get back up. The weight of fire had taken the famous mercenary down.

"You're up Sushi" declared Valerya Gromoz over the group chat, uploading an improved firing software into the little Rui Shi remote. Sushi hummed in excitement, spinning its small twin-barreled spitfire barrels to create the noise. Sushi's team had been holding the right flank, but called into action, they quickly relocated to a more central location. It only lasted moments but Sushi the Rui Shi was able to decimate the ongoing assault on the left flank, even taking a moment to put a further burst of bullets into the already downed McMurrough impersonator.

"Their data tracker has been located! Libertos fighters, take them down" ordered the young Gromoz. Libertos Freedom Fighters were experts at this type of operation. Dashing through the alleys, the Libertos was able to take up a strong position, dodging enemy gunfire as it went. One final push saw the enemy data tracker thrown against a now red-stained wall. The chain colt had done its job well. The battle was over.

The Dahshat Company Officer known only as Lazarus56 silently watched the Imperial Agent as she slunk away from the scene of the battle. "Interesting" he thought...
