The it was a job, and the pay was good, and so the Ikari ventured forth into the Gorge not knowing what opposition they would encounter. They deployed along a ridgeline and set one Karkuri to reviewing the cargo manifest of a Nomad freighter while the other went higher for a better vantage point. Shots rang out as she did - the Ikari had not been undetected.

On que, a trio of Yuan Yuans hurtled forth from the sky, deviating wildly - the nomads efforts to hack their transport aircraft were useless, since the Yuan Yuan never had a drop plan to begin with. The one known as Astrajesus stuck his landing directly behind Mary Problems, who turned around in surprise. Another tried to land near the designated target but instead scattered wildly ending up right on the back board edge, where he was immediately stunned by a flash pulse.

The last deviated, landing on a high rock where he was immediately shot by a Kriza Boracs HMG. This would prove pivotal later in the game.

Almost from the beginning the Tunguska hackers began to wreck havoc on the Ikari company, using the antenna arrays to extend their signal reach. Lacking any clear targets, the main fireteam activated only to have the Tanko missile launcher isolated and immobilized by combined efforts of the Securitate and Hollow Man hackers. Astrahesus hit Mary with a chain rifle, but was rewarded with a burst from her submachine gun in return. A Druze team ran forward but were cut down by the Reaktion bot high on the processing platform

The Kriza team crept forward cautiously, engaging in a protracted firefight with the Karkuri that left the fembot broken and the Krizas both wounded. Nomad hacking was able to put a spotlight on the Keisetsu missile launcher, but the inbound missile exploded harmlessly on the rocks above. The missile launcher dodged away from his comrades, but found himself targeted and in the open, easy prey for the HMG of the Kriza.
End of round 1 - Each controlled 1 Antenna - tie game +1 Ikari /+1 Tunguska

Their fireteam broken, the keisotsu medic ran to the Druze, careful to keep the rocks between himself and the overwatching Tunguskans. He brought the druze back around. The remaining Ikari shifted positions preparing for the onslaught. The last remaining YuanYuan chainrifled the flashpulse zond but could not penetrate its armor. He was in return blinded, and never saw the missiles that came at him from the direct-firing vertigo zond.

The tunguskans then sent two camo markers upfield, one to the center consol and one flanking the druze. The Druze grenade launcher found herself targeted by smart missiles, which took our her and the paramedic. The flanking marker revealed to be a Heckler boarding shotgun who took out the Druze HMG and wounded the Domoru. The Kriza team moved forward less cautiously this time, shooting Keisotsu and putting another wound on the domoru, forcing it into NWI.
End of round 2 - Each controlled 2 antennas, tie game +1 Ikari /+1 Tunguska

Putting the mission ahead of everything, the Domoru surged forward, shrugging off multiple hacking attempts and HMG shots from the reaktion zond, and managed to kill the designated target before the Reakion zond finally found its mark.

The Tanko meanwhile finally reset out of its immobilized state and despite still being isolated managed to kill the remaining Kriza. With the hulking Krizas no longer slowing him down, Hollow Man Assault Hacker sprints towards the downed Yuan Yuan, vaults onto the hill and then neatly collects the Yuan Yuans head earning In Extremis Recovery. He then moves quickly to the backside of the nearest antenna, seizing it for the Nomads.
End of round 3 - Nomads control 3 antennas, Ikari control 1. +2 Nomads. Ikari did not complete a classified, Nomads did, +1 Nomads. Ikari killed the DT with the datatracker, +3 Ikari.
Final score, 5-5 tie.
Ikari killed their mark, but Tunguska secured the node and now has a new brain for their brains-in-jars collection.
