VS Tohaa
Krissa

This is a friendly game of Comms Center as per campaign rules against Krissa, one of the newer players on our community. It was played on Infernal Forge (Barcelona). A video report in spanish from this game will shortly be available on the Orbital Operations youtube channel.

---------

We pulled objectives and Tohaa chose that bromads deploy first. For this mission is usually best to go second so I decided to buckle up, set some AROs and hope to not take much casualties until my first turn came, leaving Krissa with the initiative.

Bromad deployment.
Artichoke deployment

Tohaa turn 1

There is one thing in life a new infinity player never forgets, and is one lesson you have to learn the hard way. You should be careful moving fireteams around under the sight of a missile launcher. The Draal moved to engage my hollowmen missile launcher but on the process, the triad makaul went through my sights in a way I could hit both of them. Suffice to say the results were nasty and broccoli blood got sprayed on the walls.

Artichoke, meet boom.

With a triad on the left flank almost gone, Krissa decided to move upfield on the right side, where heavy buildings provided total cover against the hollowmen. Activating several antennas with Aelis on the process.
She also decided to move the Kaauri upfield to set a nulifier to protect Aelis from my hackers.

Kaauri setting them traps!

Bromad turn 1

Krissa now controlled 3 antennas. I had not lost any orders though so I was ready to roll.
Luckily for me, the Kaauri ended very close to an antenna so my Zondnautica could profit from the impetuous order to get close to the antenna. She also set some smoke to cover the advance against the enemy Nikoul sniper, dugged out on a highrise.

Let the speed mend it...

Still, a Gao Rael spitfire was poking out of cover and could see through the smoke, so I had to carve a path for the Zondnautica. Enter the Kriza Borac.
He poked out to kill the makaul on the GaoRael triad, thus reducing his burst. Then engaged the gaorael, however some unlucky rolls caused him to take a wound and also waste 4 more orders to remove the threat.
The Zondnaut then run across the field activating a second antenna and dismounting to better protect my HVT.

Here comes the cavalry!

ARTICHOKE TURN 2

With the right flank secured, Krissa decided to move her troops to the left. She needed to deal with the hollowmen if she was to activate the rest of the antennas. She put some eclipse to cover her advance and tried to heal several downed artichokes. It turns out adding water makes plants grow up again. Who knew?
So after some lucky rolls, the GaoRael and a Makaul came back and reformed the triad.

Secure the container!

A Clipsos appeared out of thin air and put several shots on the hollowmen. Managed to wound him but not enough to bring him down.

Bromad turn 2

On turn 2 the Zondnautica cancelled her impetuous to avoid going into the Nikoul firelane. Then proceeded to peek-a-boo through the container several times. Killing the Makaul. Free from opposition she Datascanned the body for an easy classified.
Then proceeded to ride on to activate 2 more antenas and dismount again to get a chain rifle shot on the pesky Clipsos, removing the threat.

Surprise Veggiechucker!

Then the Hecklers coordinated up front and the Killer Hacker tried to land a surprise hack on Aelis Keesan. Turned out to be a horrible decision and got himself fried for his insolent heckling.

ARTICHOKE TURN 3

The last turn the tohaa needed to absolutely remove the Hollow as they needed to score some antennas and get close to my HVT. The GaoRael spearheaded the assault, punching through the Hollowmen with ease and later removing the pesky Zondnautica.
However they were short on orders and cound not get to activate any other antena, thus decided to move the Kaauri forward again to limit my access to the middle of the board.

Bromad last turn

With already 5 antenas secured vs Tohaa's three this was already a victory so I just decided to sneak my Puppets on the Kaauri back, kill him and secure a Coup de Grace classified, as the tohaa paramedics had denied me of targets on previous turns.

Thus ends with 5 antennas an 2 classifieds for me.
3 antennas and 1 classified for Krissa.
Thus Bromads secure victory on their home turf.
