Day 1 of Naval instruction by PanO, Project Buran Phase 2. (Firefight)

After the agreement with PanO, they sent us some naval officers to do some drills, and we asked the O-12 garrison that was in Xaraks with us to take a walk and train the basics. Well, we also were going to take the chance to do it near Haqquislam Hangars, so we could take some info on the instalations for the Highlander Charge that was coming. What we didnt knew, is that they were giving us ANGUS. I was surely going to complain to Father Knight Siglo XIII later on, but well, for now it had to be enough.

Our troops deployed in defensive stance, as good old Merovingian Maginot Line Style. As with the real Maginot, our first lessons would come by the flank. You know that old song we still have in mp3s in Ariadna? It´s raining men? O-12 started to rain men on us, a Delta fell from the sky on our right, and closed in to our Metro´s Unit, shooting our hmg guy. Luck was with us, because the Metro seemed to hit its knee and buck down dodging the shots without really willing, and then shooting back, taking the Delta. After that movement, O-12 commander decided to send in a gangbuster, with the same ill luck. An Hmg Epsilon tried its luck against Knauf, but the old mercenary had positioned itself in a good spot, leaving the Epsilon out of good range. It didnt seem O-12 day, as the Epsilon found a bullet to the chest and fell. More men fell from the skies, a fat Yuan Yuan and another Delta, neither did much, as the yuan yuan ended up in the middle of nowhere getting shot, and the Delta, after taking some shots at Knauf, dessisted and put himself in suppression fire.

After the dust settled, it was clear O-12 was in trouble. It was time for us to try the Naval Operations, so Mirage-5 entered into scene. After a deployment near enemy lines, Duroc and Margot waited for Knauff to clear the way a bit. The Sniper took out a total reaction and a flash pulse bot, opening the way for MrDog. Duroc, with ease, started moving forward, dodging all madtraps that came in his way, leaving Margot with a good shot to the Alfa, taking him down. They couldnt move much further, as O-12 retaliated with a Hmg Dakini, taking Margot down, and the Boarding shotgun Sirius did the same with Duroc, even if he went down too fighting the Dogwarrior. Finaly, the Delta managed to take Knauf down with some combi rifle shots, and put himself in suppression fire again, ready to stop the Rapid Response of the Merovingian Rapid Response Force.

The Loup Garou team was then called for battle, but the Delta showed its force, taking down two of the team members. It started to look bad, so a chasseur was given the task to go between enemy lines and create mayhem. With its mines, flamethrower and loyal rifle, he managed to get to the hmg dakini, avenging Margot. It was only the first one, as he managed to keep on the rampage and take down a kappa, a minesweeper bot and a Varangian. The problem still was the Delta, so Angus, which our troops had been ignoring for the whole fight, as he was seen as an uselles mockery from PanO, took his combi rifle and put a shot to the Delta, silencing it. I think we dont even need to say that we had two think twice about the rumors on him. Maybe he was going to be a good naval officer in the end?

With most of its troops already on the ground, O-12 called for the end of the operation. Our troops started to pack up and our “lost” chasseurs found its way to the rest of the team, with useful intel, of course.
