Task Force Fravaksh, reporting.
Acting upon HUMINT sources, TF Frawasksh intercepted an Aleph Special Situations Section’s task force conducting a reconaissance operation in the Pankgein Nbis Hangars area, likely as an element of a wider SIGINT scheme.
Since the operation was targetting Pankgein Nbis’s navigational beacon*, it suggests that Aleph is interested in:
1. Gathering signal intelligence on starship traffic, and / or
2. Gaining a capability to disrupt said traffic by sabotaging the nav beacon.
TF Fravaksh was able to seize initiative and surprise the SSS party.
Initial deployment included Lasiq Haris on the left flank, and Ghulam Fireteam (inluding Husam Sharif) on the right flank. Our Ghazi Muttawi’ah were deployed on the left flank (two), in the middle and on the right flank. Hussein al’Djabel managed to take na advanced postion on the right flank. Ragik warrant officer Zadeh was retianed as a reserve intervention force.

Enemy force, under command of Yadu Shakti, deployed their main fireteam centrally, with light elements covering both flanks.
We initiated combat by textbook attack runs by Ghazi Muttawi’ah.
Ghazi observer Akhtar managed to advance along the right flank, and despite being targetted by enemy WarCor, managed to deploy smoke effectively. Afer that, obs. Akhtar attacked the Posthuman Mk.5 Proxy in the right-flank building, and died to return fire. The attack was unsuccessful.
Ghazi observer Behzadi advanced along left flank and was able to reach far left objective, where Proxy Mk.1 and Rudra Gunbot were engaged with E/Marat. While obs. Behzadi died to return fire of the Gunbot, the Rudra was successfully disabled. It should be noted that this has noticeably decreased the effectiveness of the enemy fireteam.
Ghazi Observer Dehnavi attempted to advance through the center, but was spotted and killed by a Yadu using a HRL. Fortunately, the civillian docker standing nearby was not harmed.
Because a significant part of the enemy foce was composed of Yadu troops, whose LHosts are notoriously difficult to disable, the Lasiq fireteam was called into action. Led by Lasiq sergeant Eftekhari, the team moved from the right flank twards the center. Firing on the move, corporal Farrukhi was able to neutralize the Yadu HMG gunner with his VSR. A moment later, having taken postions in the central building, sgt Eftekhari took down the Yadu HRL gunner, enemy WarCor and a NetRod.
The team then repostioned to control the central objective. In the process of doing so, the team came under fire by Proxy Mk.2 Sniper, who decoaked on top of the building to the right of the central objective and targetted cpl Farrukhi. No casualties were taken, however, and sgt Eftekhari neutralized the enemy sniper with accurate rifle fire.
The Ghulam Fireteam, led by Husam Sharif, secured the near right objective.
OOC note regarding what you see in photos: we practise placing Order token next ot a model that is spending it, where it is spending it. To be collected after the turn ends.
Orange rings I use to mark models in my #2 Combat Group (as well as their Order pool).
The enemy commander managed to shake off the initial shock of the assault, and advanced towards the central objective, trading fire with the Lasiqs. A firece firefight ensued, resulting in all three Lasiq team members becoming hors de combat. However, Yadu Shakti – wounded by return fire, and under coordinated*** assault by TF Fravaksh’s cyberwarfare specialists, had recognized the SSS operation was fully comptromised, and their position was untenable. Having been wounded herself, and having lost the entire heavy weapons component, enemy commander surrendered the unit**.
Summary:
– Aleph infiltration team neutralized in Pankgein Nbis Hangars area.
– enemy undercover agent, as well as a Yadu, a Shukra Consultant, a Danavas hacker and Yadu officer Shakti have been taken prisoner.
– an undamaged Netrod, two Yudbots and two Posthuman Proxies have been captured (unfortunately, the Posthuman ego inhabiting them was able to shed the bodies and exfiltrate via the undamaged Netrod). A disabled Rudra Gunbot has been acquired, too. Perhaps these will be of interest to the R&D department.
– since the Posthuman managed to exfiltrate, it should be assumed the Aleph is aware of the failure of the operation. Negotiations regarding release of the SSS personnel taken POW should be initiated soon. I suggest to deny return of the captured equipment, however.
– Viral ammo turned up to be very effective against advanced LHosts used by the Yadu. As such, its use against similar targets should be prioritized.
TF Fravaksh casualty report:
– Ghazi obs. Akhtar – KIA
– Ghazi obs. Behzadi – KIA
– Ghazi obs. Dehnavi – KIA
– Lasiq sgt Eftekhari – WIA, full recovery expected.
– Lasiq cpl Farrukhi – WIA, full recovery expected.
– Lasiq cpl Ghoreishi – WIA, full recovery expected.
All three Ghazi Muttawi’ah are recommended for sleeving into new LHosts based on their camera recordings, in reflection of their actions during this operation.
End report.
OOC, comments and such:
* my opponent does not participate in the campaign, and wanted to play Transmission Matrix today. Setting it up in the Hangar is just my take on the fluff.
** we have played the respective first turns only, after that my opponent decided he has no chance to stop me from doing basically whatever I’d fancy. He was down to 6 Orders but has lost most of the fireteam and all heavy weapons – simply had no heart to drag this on and keep being beaten. Therefore, he forfeited the game. At this point my tally was 2 Objective Points (controlling more antennas than my opponent), and since my opponent was not in Retreat, I was entitled to at least one more turn. Maybe two, if I didn’t went overboard with killing his models – a plenty of time for doing objectives… I’ve asked about it on the forum here, and got a response that a yielded game is a 10-0 result. The Army points have been reported here as they seemed at the moment of my opponent surrendering the game.
*** well, not like “Coordinated Order” of course, but there were all 3 of my hackers trying to fry her with whatever they had. Without much success, actually…
Would have liked to see more pictures of the miniatures.
@Melchior, would you believe they are several years old cardboard constructions? 🙂
Nice Report! Those Buildings and Walls really work! Nice papercraft too
It pains me when players forfeit. I can understand the reasons behind it, but I have scraped victories with my last order, and more often than not, made sure my opponent didn’t get a mayor victory.
Very nice report!
Very good report, thank you very much
As Koval said, nice report and easy to follow! Good to see Aleph getting wrecked sometimes.
Nice Rep 😉
The combination of pictures and play-by-play narrative makes it very easy to follow the game, while still keeping a solid narrative feel.
Enjoyed reading this report, you’ve done a good, succinct narrative and explained things well. Well done on the win. One thing, you seem to have some nicely painted figures there; a team photo close up would be a great inclusion so we can see them better.
nice report, unfortunatly more points for Haqqi, but Nice
