Sir, Enclosed below I have written my most recent story on the “Defense of the Battery Fields: The Daily Routine Of Ariadna Expeditionary Forces” You may edit it however you like.

With the sudden increase in factions trespassing on the Battery fields and reported missing containers of supplies that are meant to aid the Ariadna forces in defending the asteroid I took it upon myself to join one of these patrols and see exactly how these Ariadna forces were controlling the situation and keeping the Battery fields under their control sanctioned by O12.

I came to the patrol I was assigned to at 2000 hrs which for all you non-Ariadna military folks out there it is 8PM. I was stationed with a few veterans and popular figureheads like William Wallace and Uxia McNeill. It seems we were to patrol around the perimeter of the Battery Fields and ensure there has been no breach. A task that I thought was too simple. After hearing my mission briefing I was informed not to get involved in a conflict and to stay out of sight to ensure my safety. But what journalist with a passion to find a scoop running through their veins would sit idly when there would be a story to write. I would not,…..NO I could not let the chance slip by no matter how dangerous it could be. We began our patrol as normal walking along the path and every once in a while some men in the patrol would check out something they thought was a bit bizarre. This continued on for most of the walk of the perimeter. At this point I was thinking that this was not a story, that a simple routine like this would not be the hard scoop I was looking for or hearing about in reports in regards to conflicts between Haqqislam claiming ownership of the Battery Fields disobeying O-12 Commands, or the Tohaa assaults on the Ammo Module. Where was the action! Where was the conflict? I needed a story and I couldn’t leave until I returned with one I promised the editor at Warcor Press. I kept thinking I would have to repeat this patrol with other groups until I would be able to get something I could use but then it happened. The moment I was here for, a haqqislam force started to approach the Battery fields armed to the teeth. William Wallace stopped the patrol and a few people broke off to the right in case things turned for the worse. The Haqqislam forces drew their guns and spread out and at that point I noticed a few things, there seemed to be what looked like 2 Morats trailing behind a woman who I later was able to identified as Aida Swanson. Was with this invading force. The Haqqislam troops saw me and a few others of the patrolling force and called out that they were to eliminate us.

The battle began but not with shots fired but a lone Fiday in a volunteer outfit was carefully jogging on the far right side towards outside of the battle. A 45th rounded the corner seeing this volunteer sprinting over all and knew something was wrong. This volunteer was not one they had known and if he was able to get over on our side before the battle began, he surely would have gone unnoticed. The 45th called out “BE CAREFUL BOYS WE GOT OURSELF AN INFILTRATOR!” which stopped the fiday right in his tracked in the middle of the battlefield. While I was too busy watching the Haqqislam force spread out I did not realize that the patrol was already positioned throughout the area. Within seconds these two forces armed on both sides had set themselves to strike the other for the first chance they get. Luckily for me the Caledonia forces were prepared before the Haqqislam forces could get set so they struck the invading force first. The 45ths in the patrol charged straight forward not caring what or who sees them as if they no matter what this invading Haqqislam forces could not harm them. Not only did the 45ths space out as they proceed up the board but from what anyone could tell Uxia who was as silent and swift like a summer breeze was able to move forward until she was able to sit right in front of a building that the Haqqislam forces were hiding behind. Then just like a raging tornado she turned the corner and unleashed two large bangs that sounds like thunder and dropped a jaguar and Aida Swanson right off the bat. Her precision and tactics were so graceful it looked like a ballerina as she spun around with her shotgun out but laid waste to the Haqqislam forces like a natural disaster for them. Then the heavily armored mormaer who looked like a walking fortress covered in armor from head to toe with a large HMG to match pulled their gun up as if they were aiming at something. Then came the burst followed by a soft gentle laugh. “I got whatever that was trying to hide from the rest of our men over there.” said this soft voiced woman. At this moment I knew that these Caledonia forces were battle hardened professionals and they were doing exactly what they were trained to do dispose of threats.

While I was taken aback by how skilled these soldiers were Uxia walked forward to see the back of a Djanbazan armed with a sniper who could do nothing but look for what would move towards him not even realizing the threat was behind him until after Uxia pulled the trigger but at that point it was too late. As harsh as a Hurricane Uxia moved up and ripping through the forces of the Haqqislam trespassing on important grounds for Ariadna forces to hold. She proceeded to the corner of a building and stood vigilantly waiting to see what would come to deal with her sitting behind enemy lines. At his point their left side forces were decimated and the right side had no idea what was going on. While the left side was being taken out the fiday who failed to infiltrate the Caledonian forces stood out in the open trying to find a place to duck into or any cover to use but it was too late the 45th who spotted the fiday earlier acted like he could not be stopped charged right towards the fiday. The trembling fiday tried to shoot the charging man with a light shotgun but with death charging straight towards him his aim could not be true and the shot missed shooting at the ground before the charging man. With a last ditch effort the fiday dropped his shotgun and pulled out a knife, lunged for the throat of the 45th expecting the charging man to block the attack and lose momentum but instead the large claymore wielding man plunged the sword straight through the chest cavity of the fiday as the knife entered the neck of the 45th. By sheer physical prowess and will to keep fighting the 45th did not drop but turned towards his next targets with whatever time he had left to take down as many members of this invading force a possible. The heavily bleeding 45th proceeded forward until he spotted someone and he pulled out something that let out a noise that sounded like a few tin cans in a wood chipper. All I heard was “Ka Chunk crackle Ga-chunk” (https://youtu.be/78KkMos8yVs?t=27) and a Khawarijs dropped. With heavy blood loss in the 45th he fell to his knees and then life just left him like that as he died.

The Haqqislam forces were in a tight situation. They had to at least try to do something or else they couldn’t face their superiors after attacking the Ariadians stationed here and not even truly fighting them. The morats were heard barking out “What are you humans doing?! Deal with the one around the building” ordering a Naffatun who then darted around a building with a heavy flamethrower pointed at where Uxia was standing and pulls the trigger. With a split second decision she leaped behind the building as the flame thrower incinerates everything that was where she was previously standing. The morat barking out orders and insults all while moving further up the battle and proceeded to stand in the middle of the Haqqislam forces. At the same time an Al’Hawwa moved up to a communication antenna to connect to it to call in for more troops. While doing so a Cateran with a T2 sniper shot towards the Al’Hawwa but he could not connect to the Hawwa. When the Djanbazan carrying a HMG noticed this he hastily shot up towards the Cateran trying to take out the threat to his comrade. The Cateran was able to notice the Djanbazan aiming at him so he ducked for cover as a spray of bullets came whizzing by and impacted the building he was hiding on. With the initial shots fired the Cateran stood up trying to deal with this Machine gun wielding Djanbazan but it was a mistake. The Djanbazan was waiting for this moment and a single shot was all it took to kill the Cateran before he could take a shot back.

At this point the battle was coming to a close. The link of volunteers and 3rd grey moved up to take control of the Tech-Coffin and killed the Hawwa and Djanbazan in the process the 3rd grey weilding an HMG had great aim and no one could challenge her. Then Uxia seeing the Haqqislam forces turn on the communication antenna darted towards the closest antenna to activate it herself but a Murabids Tuareg appeared with its superior camouflage technology trying to stop Uxia from doing so. By some random luck the Tuareg was unsuccessful in eliminating Uxia and the heavily armored Mormaer moved up to kill the Tuareg before any other harm could be done. While the Tuareg was being taken care of a 45th moved up to the communication array that the Haqqislam activated ready to intercept the call that was being made to a Haqqislam command. There would be no support coming for the Haqqislam forces today. The few morats working with the Haqqislam were taken care of and at this point and with such few numbers on the Haqqislam force against the dominant force of the Caledonia patrol force the Haqqislam soldiers broke off and started to run away as fast as they could. With no intent to hunt them down the patrol force ensured there was no further enemies in the area and they collected the dead from both sides to be put to rest.

From this experience I have seen why the O-12 have given protection of the Battery Fields to the Ariadna Expeditionary Force. These men and women were professionals and trained soldiers who were willing to make any sacrifice needed to complete the tasks they were assigned. An interesting note is that looking at the fallen Haqqislam forces, the Haqqislam had two morats working with them and Aida Swanson who lost her life in this fight was bleeding not red blood but blue blood. I plan to continue following these patrols for some time to see just how strong these ariadna forces are and what other forces are coming to try to take control of the main defense of this asteroid.
