Boardron

With Haq islam and the Terrorist Tohaa combining their efforts to pressure both Ariadna and O-12, something had to be done! The Ariadnans, after being relieved of the Ammo Module by O-12, saw that the Aliens where willing to attack Human Spheres greatest Institution. The AEC recognized that O-12 has to get all the support they need, even if it costs Ariadna’s position on the Asteroid. It is a sacrifice Ariadna is willing to make. So the AEC Auxiliary of the O-12 was established. The beginning of Operation: Varangian Guard. Deputized by O-12 to fight under their Jurisdiction, the AEC Auxiliary will strike at the Tohaa. The Module must be brought back in O-12 Control!

A crack team of Deputized Ariadnan Troops lay an Ambush for the Tohaa terrorists. The Tohaa are planning to take snag up a Tech Coffin who house O-12 Servers. This servers were brought in to start O-12 policing operations on the Asteroid, but the sudden attack from the Tohaa prevented the Tech Coffin to reach its destination. So it is up to the men of Deputy Carabay to pick them up and get them back to O-12, while making sure nearby O-12 computer networks are not hacked by the Terrorists.

The plan is to let the Tohaa get close first, before the Ariadnans strike from ambush. Let them first think they are save to snag up the Consoles and Tech Coffin.

O-12 sanctioned dice were handed to the Ariadnans to make sure they feel well supported.

Symbio Beasts rush in over the Ariadnans right flank, eager to clear the console of camouflaged units. Under the cover of smoke they close the distance. A mine takes one of the beasts out. While the Chasseur is sniffed out by the second beast. But not for wounding the beastmaster with his flamethrower.

Sick 'em! Urrgghh
The Foxtrot gets away from the Pulzar shots
Terrorists move closer towards the Tech Coffin
An Angel of Death appears, doing a risky move, while under fire from a beast pulsar he ends the Beastmaster! Surviving the whole ordeal so that Brian has a free path.Brian uses an O-12 sanctioned Firewall to guard one of the Consoles
While on the left flank the Veteran Kazak Paramedic takes a long shot against a Kriegel and takes him out!
Let the LT deal with this Kaeltar
But he ducks for cover!
The Angel of Death rampages on and takes on the Draal with HMG Fire!

The Spetsnaz is not successful in dealing with the Draal only wounding it. He goes back into hiding to wait for a better opportunity. Brian and the Veteran Kazaks lay suppression fire to await the Tohaa counter attack. From the shadow, a Tohaa Operative arrives, takes out Brian and installs a hacking program in the Console!

Heavy fighting breaks out on the left flank where the tohaa bring the spitfires to bear of the Rasail and Gao Rell. The Luitenant is hunted down and taken out!
Vassily....take....command....uugghhh

The Tohaa Operative hears something clanging down the stairs. Its a smokebomb! She suppresses in any direction! Suddenly she sees a long knife sticking out of her belly. Uxia has darted through the smoke! Uxia installs the Firewall and guards the Console. While the Angel of Death sees an opportunity to bring the Draal Down!

But the fights not over and the Tohaa push the Ariadnan positions, who start to cave. The Rasail ends the remaing veteran Kazak and clear the road towards the left most Console.
Ah Kosuil rushes the Tech Coffin, convinced he can take the position single handely. But what he does not know, is that Oleg is guarding the show!

Tankhunter versus Tohaa!

The Tohaa keep the pressure on the Ariadnans and the Tech Coffin, with Covering fire. revealing that the Tohaa Diplomat is a Kosuil. They were never here to "Talk"!
Vassily decides it is time to secure the HVT's and takes out the Chaksa guarding Go Go Marlene. The Kosuil comes under fire as well, but decides to run away
Your save ma'am!

the Foxtrot climbs from off the rooftop. Being the Liaison, he needs to secure the Tech Coffin, now that the LT is taken out. The Tohaa await his approach, since they are unable to spot him. From behind the Tech coffin, Ryan opens up with his rifle while under suppresion fire. He wounds the Tohaa and secures the Coffin! The Terrorists have to back down.

You will not get away that easily! Get their Leader!
With the Rasail getting out of his burning Symbiont Armor, they retreat back from where they came from.

The Ariadnan Deputies secure the Tech Coffin, Civilians and the Consoles from the Alien Terrorist Incursion. O-12 can be proud!

The Deputy plan explained:

From the Ariadna and O-12 perspective on the whole Deputy issue, let me bring in what we were hoping to do:

So before my report I asked the Mods and gave them a few options on how deputizing would look like. Like given our current points on the Ammo Module to the O-12, for example. The easiest way was every deputy making a second account. I send messages to the Moderation Post on the O-12 and Ariadna Forum, that I had two accounts and we were planning in bringing some assistance to O-12. We are actually happy the Mods told us they would make it count in the story for what we did narrative. So it gave us a ruling clarity and the story thing we were looking for. Still want to give my 2 cents what would have happened if the Mods would have allowed it.

For people fearing 200 Ariadnans would register as O-12 and start ruling the world:
Only a handful of Ariadnan players would be deputized and all would bring in one game. Just to show support to the O-12 and how close we want to work with them for fluff reason. Gamewise they would get 25 ish points and we discussed with the O-12 HQ that they would be the ones actually responsible for beating Tohaa, we would be there to be the leg up. Story was our main goal.

so my report was a test, to show how it would look like. And if the mods agreed, The Deputies would all play their game an we would go back and see if we could chase off the Haq Islamites (hopefully).

We made sure the story would unfold for anyone to see. No secret stuff, all in the open (check the IC forum for what transpired there and the main reason to use Deputy in the name). Cause it could all be done with players just quietly registration with O-12 accounts, playing O-12 games and none would have been the wiser. Actually: that is perfectly legal to do. People could stop play for Ariadna, get their O-12 army roling and go play for a different faction. But that was not our goal, we wanted to show Ariadnan support to the O-12. So I was a bit disappointed by the backlash. And especially people not believing what we were doing. I can understand people being concerned that all of a sudden Ariadnan players are scoring 5 points. I hoped they would see that were actually shooting ourselves in the foot with this action because we were given away a zone to another faction and spending less time fighting Haq Islam on the Battery Field. Because of this we wanted to keep it limited in the first place. But some people saying the story was a cheap excuse. Well I think that is missing the point.

My opinion: We are playing a campaign to create a story and the game mechanics are their to support making that story, not the other way around. I see many people finding that CA is not powerful enough. We at Ariadna thought we could show this way that O-12 was strong.

That is actually why we gave up the zone to O-12 so fast. We did not want to look like the ones fighting O-12. It did not fit the story as written (AEC and O-12 share the base and it is the reason the Ariadnans are here), but the game mechanics show reports going into a zone as competing. So we put out a relieve order as soon as the O-12 surpassed us. Game mechanically wise we have a far easier time fighting O-12 and Tohaa for the Ammo Module...but that was not the story we wanted to tell. But still people thought that scoring 5 points for O-12 was cheating.

I do not agree people were cheated by my report, or any of our future reports if the mods would have allowed it. Whatever a faction you play for, it still takes you to organize and play a game, make the pictures and the videos, edit, write and publish the thing. 3,4,5 points don't matter it is still a chore to come with a descent report. I got people saying it was unfair because their efforts were ruïned...by my efforts. Like we are doing the same thing, playing games and making reports. And still perfectly legal if I had used an O-12 army, which I own.

When the report was under O-12 it could barely hold 5 stars because of the 1 stars coming in. Now that I reposted it as an Ariadna report (cause the mods ruled the O-12 one invalid) it has 9 stars and recommendations. I could have understood the backlash if it were a mass of wonky reports dumped on the Ammo module, but this was a story thing, with decent reports and a restricted number would have been posted. And I think people unnecessarily pooped on it, because they were afraid of would it could have been, but not looked at what it actually was.

Story wise: Ariadnans will still be deputized by O-12 and the alliance is there, with the Mods doing something after it all concluded. So my guys are back at fighting under the Ariadna banner. So we take what we can get I guess and keep on trucking.

  • McCaptain says:

An excellent report. A fun narrative, and fitting role play. The mods have rules and that’s that. Good job sir.

  • Cabaray says:

This report will not count towards O-12 voor points. The Moderators have ruled the Following:

    Hello commanders!

While we appreciate and love your RP, we cannot accept that “Deputy” reports as valid. Registered players must only use armies from their registered faction and its sectorials. That’s the same for every faction in the campaign.

We are enjoying seeing the RP developing between factions, and this ruling in no way blocks your ongoing alliances for the remainder of the campaign. In addition we are looking into ways to show your alliances impact after the campaign closes.

We appreciate your love for the game and the passionate narrative, but we also want everyone can enjoy the campaign equally.

    Good luck commanders!

    The Moderation Team.

  • GoGo Faehrlich says:

Despite the fact that I don’t like double accounts, that report is legit and well made. Well worth a high rating and a commendation…hope there will be an official statement for situations like this.

  • Deputy_Carabay says:

All the Ariadnan Deputies have been ordered to stand down and wait for what the Mods decide.

  • Kirito says:

Guys, consider this a pre-emptive “cool it” remember, nice talk. No personal attacks.

As to this particular situation, the mod team is aware. Happy games everyone 🙂

  • Taylor says:

Hey guys – can we take it down a few notches? We are looking into this. In the meantime, can Ariadna players please refrain from registering games on behalf of O-12? I know I phrased that as a question, but it really isnt. We are looking into all of this and making some considerations – but we have not come to a consensus as of yet.

  • Wizzy says:

╭( ・ㅂ・)و ̑̑ "Aaaargh this story is full of kazak trickery, well … heu?! … bad done

  • Wizzy says:

( ̄□ ̄;)!! A real shame on the part of the O-12, the Tohaa Sentinels are heroes who continue the fight for the Tohaa/Humanity alliance without requesting any compensation, while these fighters are trapped in the Human Sphere without hopes of returning to their planets. But our ambassador told us about Mers El Kebir, humans seem fond of hitting in the back, their friends from yesterday for any fallacious reason … Despite of your conduct, Tohaa will continue to defend the Humanity against the Combined Army.

Off roleplay, don’t cheat people to win, not cool

  • Cord says:

You do not see the problem? Really? Yes, if this is one person, then this is not a big problem. But what if all Ariadne fighters report under o12 accounts? All 200 people. And each victory will bring 5 points, not 3 points. Such factions as Tohaa simply can’t resist this in any way. There are less than a hundred players for Toha. It spoils my enjoyment of the campaign. This will not be a healthy competition. Only by scoring points on one side.

  • Thandar Singh says:

I did never though I’d ever plead for Cabaray, but, where the hell is the problem? Did the battle happened or not? Does the report fulfill the standards or not? (well, I have seen plenty of better ones, but also a plenty of much worse). And at least, even if I took it problematic (which I don’t), Cabaray did that openly. Not hiding behind some neutral nick and fake list. If there is any problem, then it is on the side of campaign organizers, who on the one side allow multiple accounts and on the other didn’t even try to solve problems like NA2 engagement or the role of O-12.

  • Abrilete says:

WTF, even the army list submited is an Ariadna one.

  • Tristan228 says:

Good Lord guys! Is it really neccessary to accuse people of cheating just because they don’t play the “right” army for the points?
That’s really not the attitude to promote this campaign at all, because this kills any narrative freedom a player could use to make this capaign a fun experience for himself and the people he plays against. And if you kill the fun of a campaign then you’re killing the campaign. It’s a goddamn game we presumably all play because we want to have some fun! So please reconsider your actions and try to find real cheat reports instead of condemnig a legit game just because it’s played with the wrong miniatures on one side (even despite it’s written in the background of this campaign that ariada IS working for O-12).

Writing this because I’m also playing with the “wrong” minatures (StarCo, NA2) for a faction (Nomads)

  • Deputy_Carabay says:

    @Melkiach

Am I not meeting with a friend, making an effort and playing fair? Is me playing my friend Warcor Boardron really any different then any other game? Who could have won and brought a win for the Tohaa? Is my report any worse or any less of an effort then anybody else his or her report?

Cause I am making sure here that the report is up to snuff out off respect towards my opponents. That anybody can see: it happened with effort. I hope people have fun reading it and have a bit of joy when they see Olegs antics.

  • Deputy_Carabay says:

Seriously you should hear yourselves. You don’t care about time spend, effort put in or building a narrative. If you can find something you don’t like: 1 star and calling me a cheat. If this is cheating, then I am the worst one at it. Using a name clearly indicating my Deputy story. And going far beyond the 3 photo, 150 word requirement. Seems that is time wasted spending on you, cause only thing you seem to care about is win or lose. And the fear of the Cabaray who plays a lot of games.

I would advice to take a deep breath and relax. It is all just internet points.

  • Melkiach says:

So, you can’t do nothing with Ariadna and you multifperform factions in the middle of phase1?

i don’t care what you want to play dude, this is a game, and you are free to do wathever you want! But do you don’t think this is a bit disrespectfull for all the people who is making an effort to meet with their friends, play hard to achieve the points and try to follow the Fairplay path

I don’t know if you are the first one of doing this or is an extended practice, but you are making boring this online event…

  • Kiwi Steve says:

Good to see that I’m not the only person who sees this as disrespectful, both to Tohaa and those of us in O12 who wanted to win (or lose) fairly.

  • Jager Nadim says:

You got one star because instead of playing O-12 you decided to play Ariadna and register the win for O-12. Considering last year you registered a dummy account as Tohaa so your buddy could score wins, I do not think we should take your ‘cool story’ as anything other than a desperate attempt to win by any means neccessary.

  • Deputy_Carabay says:

    @Ktulhuist09
So if I would have used O-12 models it is fine, but with Ariadnan models it is cheating? And what if Ariadnan models were proxying O-12 models? Cause on a technical level it makes no difference: It took me time and effort to play a match, win it and report it. I have the freedom as a player to play for any faction I like. The choice to go about this way is story driven, cause like I said: I own the O-12 army. If Ariadnan players decided to jump ship and play O-12 with their O-12 armies, it would have had the same effect. What you describing as cheating is just an influx of new players.

  • Ktulhuist09 says:

If you want to play for 0-12 so use their profiles, if you play for ariadna so bring victories on your ariadna’s account, your cool and narrative story will not suffer from this. Now you just farming the points and try to avoid the inevitable by dirty tricks

  • TheDiceAbide says:

It wouldn’t be a campaign if Ariadna wasn’t trying to subvert the game mechanics. Why spend the effort to coordinate your attacks when you can just rack up scores for the side you want to win?

    Mr. Yōkoso, aka TheDiceAbide
    NA2 Director of Operations
    Ikari Company.

  • Deputy_Carabay says:

For those who are 1 starring a fully pictured, video edited, report, should know the following. I own a at least 1000 infinity minis, fully painted, including all the current O-12 models. I can field any and all factions. I could have used an O-12 army with a second profile , with an obscure name, and you be none the wiser. But I chose to show a Deputized Ariadnan army cause currently O-12 and Ariadna are creating a narrative story. The current Asteroid fluff has placed Ariadna in support of O-12. We currently see this as the only way to actually represent that (go ask the devs if you do not like it). That is why Ariadna handed control of the Ammo Module to O-12 cause they ordered us to do so. Now that we are called back in for aid we want to do something special and help the “new” faction establish itself. And with that it became a proper fight. We are trying to create a cool story here, hopefully you can get along with it. And two 5 point factions duking it out sounds only fair to me. My Tohaa opponent could have won and you would be having 5 extra points. So good luck in the rest of the campaign

  • Cord says:

Is it serious? I did not think that in this company I would see such a dirty trick.

  • Wizardlizard says:

Great battle and congratulations on the win

  • Einhorn says:

I find this kind of bypassing of the restrictions of the platform very problematic. I REALLY wanted to play Spiral Corps this campaign but for the Tohaa faction, but since that was not allowed, I developed my core Tohaa list instead and went fully with that. To play Ariadna as O-12, even with player-facing deputisation, considering that O-12 and Tohaa are about equal in number as players/factions, is a serious infraction of fair play.

  • Duke says:

Well done deputy! Poor Oleg… next time you’ll get to explode a Jotum.

  • Santyago says:

  • DrCore says:

Ariadna army and O12 win… great idea

  • Ktulhuist09 says:

It’s kind of cheating to get 5 points instead of 3. Another disrespect from ariadna

  • GloriousEND says:

great idea! can I play for PanO and record victories for Tohaa?

  • Nonora8109 says:

    excellent victory commander!
