The Ariadnans began the proceedings, an AP HMG Blackjack opening up, and in what soon proved to be the first of many bad rolls on my part, knocked out the HMG Brigada in the fireteam.
His T2 Sniper friend then killed two Wildcats in two rounds of shooting, including the hacker.
A Grunt paramedic connected an antenna as the HMG-Jack moved to KO the Multi-Rifle Brigada.
A dice roll finally passed... but only enough to save Lupe Balboa from death after taking a crit and a hit, and I opted not to use dogged.
That Blackjack then took and survived a hit from the Brigada-Gecko duo, then forced the Gecko to move away by hitting it. The Gecko then survived fire from Minutemen unharmed, and failed to figure out what a moving camo marker was, to end a rather good turn for the USARF, but a disastrous one for the Corrigedor forces.
Unusually, the Daktari didn't kill the Multi-Brigada and actually revived him, letting the HI rejoin the fight.
The Gecko then managed to eventually KO the HMG Blackjack over two rounds, letting his Brigada Hacker friend move to try to connect an antenna....
Arsebarns.
With only one order left and feeling the LT Wildcat was maybe a bit at risk, I opted to use it and his LT order to get him a bit further away from potential threats... and try to lure the USARF to maybe go after him.
Spoiler alert, they didn't.
The Minutemen moved, firing on the Multi Brigada, who saved the hit. They then connected a second antenna.
The Sniperjack moved up to attack and damage the Gecko with his T2, the Gecko moving into cover. The Sniper then fought the Gecko and the Brigada Multi-Rifle, the latter surviving a hit, the former missing the Blackjack, who also missed.
The Sniper was damaged by a Combi-Rifle hit, but in the next efforts destroyed the Gecko totally.
A Foxtrot rifleman then managed to KO the Hacker-Brigada, as a Grenadier one lobbed a round at the Multi-Brigada. The Daktari also affected by the blast was fine, but the Brigada was downed again.
But to add insult to injury, the Grenadier then knocked down the Daktari too. I was very much in retreat, and the game was over.
While dice rolls mainly lost me this one, there's still some lessons I think.
First... remember to bring an FO! I didn't so didn't actually have a liason officer. As it happens neither of us ever got a chance to try for that point anyway.
Second, I should have maybe tried to squeeze a spitfire or rocket launcher into the wildcats rather than the LT, and just risked another unit being LT. The plan had been to have the core team and duo chase antennas and the wildcats try close in to flamethrower things, but they met some T2...
D20 betrays us sometimes.. Anyway good work! Go Go Nomads!
ʕノ•ᴥ•ʔノ ︵ ┻━┻ Nooo the Nomad martyr continuing
Well done 😉
