*Radio creeping* “Lads, were lacking some muscle in here. We’re assigning you a new Lieutenant. I’m ordering you to cooperate with the new kid. Wallace out”.

– I don’t like being ordered by some fresh sardine, Fergus
– Me neither lad. But orders are orders and we’re stuck with him
– Well, at least we’re a decent Haris. Nothing that our T2’s can’t handle properly
– Damn right, Hamish. We’re off our trolleys!!!

Someone behind them cleared his throat.

– Salute men!

The Mormaers and the Grey stood and saluted.

– Very good. I need you to stand covering this corridor and the flanks. I’ll place the Uragan just behind you, so guard it at all costs. Dismiss!
– Yes, sir!

When the Lieutnant volunteer was far positioning other soldies, Hamish spoke:

– Damn fresh meat. Think they know everything
– This lad saw action a few ago. They said he ran screaming in panic while leaving his decimated team.

*Radio creeping* “Contact! Cherry here. Alien contact! On guard! We’re under attack”.

A burst of heavy gunshots echoed through the buildings.

– Cherry, what’s your status, over?

Radio buzzing…

– Cherry, do you copy? What’s your status?

*Strange noises*. Radio shuts.

– Guys, seems we’ve lost Cherry. Everyone stay sharp and fire at will. I’ll try and contact base in that house over there.

Battle started with Caledonians striking first. Uxia made a successful deployment near the Gwailo, who was covering almost 2/3rds of the map with his missile launcher. It was bittersweet that she could take down the alien, but fell from the HMG from the bot with total reaction and 360° vision that reacted to her attack.

The rest of the first turn was trying to take down that bot, but no attack was successful. In fact, it took several troops down. The rest of the guys moved to take control and activate the antennas. The spec ops volunteer did 3 speculative grenade attacks to take some camo unit on the roof, hitting the last one.

During my opponent’s turn, most of my remaining troops fell. Those weapons were like jamming, not a single successful shot, the caterans fell like flies and well.

On turn 2, one forb activated and antena but couldn’t stand the aro from my opponent’s unit. On the left side, one volunteer and another Scots fell on CC, leaving the Grey free to to shoot his T2 and take down those 2 attackers. My opponent used one of his camo units and stabbed on the back the Lieutnant, shot the traktor mul to ashes and took down one volunteer on my rear.

On turn 3, all I could do was defend and stand still, but only the liason officer did. Victory for combi was served.
