Asteroid Blues

Note: Please pardon my lack of flair on this one, I fully plan to write up a proper story but it is late and I would like to commit the facts to record while they are fresh in my mind

YU JING TURN 1

From the shadows, the guilang sniper took aim and fired at the Peeler copperbot. 3lgu1j3, its pilot, barely had time to take aim and squeeze out a burst before the machine was cut down. The Alpha trooper, seeing this transpire decided to take his chances and dodge off of the container where he perched himself and taking a nasty, but survivable fall. The Yujingese forces wasted no time in sending a Zuyong forth to open the armory and hopefully take its contents for the State-Empire. These hopes were dashed, as it was only after many failed attempts that he managed to open the doors. It took him so long that by the time the doors opened the O-12 forces were nearly upon him. He barely had time to run in, attempt to sack the panoply, and run out. At this he failed as well.

O-12 TURN 1

The Varangian guard moved forth as was their way, quickly occupying positions within the armory. Two of them ran outside to meet the poor Zuyong in combat. They took his life, but not before a combination of his knife-work and a well placed shot from a revealed Daofei took one of them down. Volodya, the Epsilon trooper that had until now been content to lounge on a rooftop picked himself up, took aim, and fired at the guilang that had previously destroyed the remote, only to be faced with her extreme prowess as a marksman. He was felled by a critical blow. The two gangbusters took positions by the sides of the door nearest to the O-12 deployment zone, placing their madtraps on a perimeter. The turn ended with the Gamma trooper making his way around a building and shooting the Guilang, who passed her armor rolls and went into hiding.

YU JING TURN 2

The Guilang teied her luck against the gamma and managed to cause it one wound, after which he retreated out of sight. With the giant armored suit’s threat out of sight, a Hsien warrior began making his way to the objective room. His dash was cut short however, as he wandered a bit too close to an activated madtrap and succumbed to its glue. Some Zhanshi made an attempt to shoot at the Varangians within the armory, but they responded with smoke grenades and blocked that avenue of attack as well.

O-12 TURN 1

A Cyberghost laid down a white noise zone, which the Gamma used to great effect clearing out the blinded Guilang. He then moved ponderously forward cleaning up the Daofei and one of the Zhanshi, while the other dodged away from the rain of lead. He did not get far though. The Gamma made him meet the same fate as his colleagues. After that, the Gamma moved toward the glued Hsien, and pressing his Heavy pistol onto the back of his head, persuaded him to surrender for arrest, after which the rest of the Yu Jing forces quickly surrendered.
