OOC: I forgot to bring the battery to my DSLR camera so no video or high quality images :(, that's the first fail.
IC: A section of Steel Phalanx found itself antagonizing a section of the Neoterran Capitaline Army for the designation and destruction of antennas in the dangerous rocky terrain of the Chimneys.
Steel Phalanx has deployed a fireteam of Thorakitai with Alke leading the bunch with her trusted spitfire, a fireteam of myrmidons with a spitfire and a myrmidon officer, a dactyl with 2 yud bots, a lone thorakites forward observer watching the other flank and Teucer watching the battlefield high up on his tower.
NCA deployed the trusted fusilier fireteam with an Aquila Guard watching over much of the battlefield, 3 bolts scattered over the deployment line ready to defend the objectives and any enemy offensive and a black friar with multi-sniper guarding a long firelane with a trauma-doc behind him and her pal-bots ready to assist.
Also an auxilia and her bot guarding the HVT.
As an extra deployment SF deployed Andromeda far into the battlefield in hopes of putting some d-charges on those enemy antennas and assassinating the enemy HVT.
NCA deployed another! Aquila Guard equipped with an HMG, watching all possible fire lanes anyone has ever thought of.
SF: The myrmidon on the building with the spitfire, being an impetuous fella, tried shooting down the black friar holding down the left corridor, blocking andromeda from advancing further into the field.
Got shot by the black friar and the Aquila multi-rifle, got wounded and also disregarding the dangerous terrain he got hit by a rock and went straight into deadland.
Teucer decided to reposition himself a little and shoot down that pesky black friar, which he actually managed to do, opening the road for andromeda.
Andromeda had no idea that late Aquila deployment got her pinned down from the start. Nevertheless she tried moving into cover, getting shot down by that Aquila guard in the end (critted), acomplishing nothing. What a waste!
The lone thorakites at least managed to mark the first antenna!
All 3 close proximity antennas were finally marked by our forward observers.
NCA recovering from the black friar loss, uses bolts to cover the mid field with drop bears, fearing another advance.
A fusilier with an LGL makes multiple attempts to kill the enemy HVT with all speculative shots missing the mark. It's hard to hit a target that you dont even see!
Aquila Guard HMG manages to wound Teucer.
SF tries to move a little forward and destroy the designated antennas. Misfortune hit the phalanx!
Alke and 2 other thorakitai only managed to destroy 1 antenna and damaging another one even after countless shots, wounding themselves unconscious in the process. What a pity...
At least Teucer, after getting healed by the nearby dactyl doctor, managed to kill 1 enemy Auxilia and wounding the Aquila HMG.
NCA managed to mark 5 antennas and wounded a couple in the process.
That Aquila Guard with HMG tried tirelessly to kill Teucer but failed in the process, wounding himself unconscious by another rock dropping on his head. (Those rocks proved more dangerous than any unit in this mission...)
Thank God there was a palbot nearby, getting him up to continue his work.
With a leap of faith he uses the last rounds of the magazine to shoot down that pesky Teucer. He succeeds!
SF now uses the 3-man fireteam of myrmidons to chain rifle that middle antenna down and smoke their way to the 3rd one and board shotgun it into oblivion.
NCA marks a couple more antennas and starts shooting down every antenna it can. Destroying 5 antennas in the end while losing a bolt and that Aquila Guard (again!) to those apparently super dangerous rocks floating around hitting anyone that tried shooting his weapon.

Yeah… We forgot that half through the match :X
Aren’t the antennas only able to be damaged with anti material weapons?
Poor Andromeda…unlucky girl. Still a great report. Well done!
Andromeda is a hidden gem, keep it up!
I used her so very wrong, but that large silhouette didn’t help either. If she had gotten past the mid-board, she would have worked wonders!
Great write-up and pictures, Commander! Nice to see Andromeda on the table. A regrettable loss, but keep up the great work!
