Asteroid Blues

1st turn Ariadna.

Events immediately rushed off the bat. Aleph responded to Metro link activation by opening the Proxy Mk 2. However, this did not stop the brave soldiers of the Dawn: Moblot landed a critical blow to Dakini Sniper and successfully passed all the saves from Proxy 2. It took two more orders to take to suppress sniper fire from the Proxy and land a finish off Dakini Sniper with 2 more critical hits. Then link makes some minor movements around the battlefield, taking a better position to fire. At this point more Metros come into play, revealed from their camouflage, laying d-charges on Alephs antennas. One of those brave men dies from the Darts fire, another fell victim to a successful attack by Proxy Mk 5. Para-commandos-Sniper destroyed two Netrods, hoping thereby to break the connection between the Alephs units. On the last coordinated order Metro go to suppress-state.

1st turn Aleph.

The challenge was thrown, the challenge was taken. The Dakini Unit had been dispatched to crush the lowtech barbarians from the edge of the Human Sphere. One by one, they destroyed all the Metros, and then, performing a rapid transfer to the right flank, killed one of the linked Moblots with well-aimed fire. The main task was not forgotten as well: Proxy 5 and Dakini-paramedic hijacked four antennas (all near Alephs deployment zone and the central one).

2nd turn Ariadna.

Three Chasseurs, one by one, died trying to put at least some damage to the Alephs killer robots squad, but only managed to slay one Dakini. To turn the tide of battle, the Moblot-datatracker launched a heroic attack. Luck favors the madmen: he managed to break through the sea of fire and destroy designated target.

2nd turn Aleph.

Ancient wisdom says: “Do not leave a successful enemy behind”. Authorized Bounty Hunter destroyed a Moblot-datatracker. At this time, Proxy Mk 1 successfully breaks one of the remaining antennas with some well-placed d-charges and tries to break another, but, unfortunately, things didn’t work out.

3rd turn Ariandna.

On the last turn, Ariadna’s forces decide to back away, using giant explosions as a cover. All three antennas near their deployment zone were captured and destroyed.

3rd turn Aleph.

Proxy Mk 1 continues her work to seize and destroy the antennas, the last of which was put down with a melee attack on her last order.

Result: Ariadna controls 3 antennas, ALEPH 4. Ariadna destroyed 3 antennas, ALEPH 4. Ariadna killed a designated target with the data-tracker, which gave her forces additional points.

Final score: 6:4 in favor of ALEPH
