Asteroid Blues

The soldiers abruptly emerged onto the terrace. It was shrouded in a mist of unknown origin. It was so dense that it was impossible to see the other end of the platform.
- Chris, go upstairs, ' said the lieutenant to one of Moblots.
To assemble a detachment of heavily armored soldiers was a great idea, knowing the capabilities of the enemy.
Without another word, Chris climbed onto the roof and took up a position with his heavy machine gun. Almost the entire platform was shot from there. The others took up positions at the unknown structure, except for the zouave, who immediately rushed forward, ready to meet the enemy with a D.E.P.
As soon as they were in position, the soldiers looked around.
There were several antennas on the battlefield, apparently connected to each other. Whatever opportunities they offered, they were undoubtedly what the aliens had come for.
A few more seconds and the enemy will appear…

Zouave, who was closest to the unknown, carefully looked around the corner and noticed an unknown device hovering on the roof of the building. He immediately lit the target for Christian, who sent a burst of heavy machine gun fire at the creature. Bullets grazed the blades and there was a small pop.
The men below stirred, taking better positions. In the distance, behind a strip of fog, it seems, something flashed, but the birst put there did not give results.
Zouave decided to try his luck again and carefully looked out from the corner, immediately received a bullet in the shoulder and fell, screaming.
Undoubtedly this was an enemy sniper.

Then it was Vicki's turn. Armed with moblot’s heavy armor, she had no fear of enemy sniper fire, but she cautiously shifted position behind the barricade and opened fire. The return shot had no effect, and Vicki's burst punctured the alien's body in several places and it fell dead.
At that moment a muffled cry came from somewhere to the right. Briscard didn't respond to the radio. He’s done.
Time was running out to help the bleeding zouave. Vicki lunged forward to help him. She caught an enemy bullet in shoulder, in response she raised her rifle and succsesfully emptied the queue at the second alien.
While she helped the wounded man, the rest of the squad changed position, going to the rapprochement with the opponent. Chris left the roof and set up a firing point on the barricade.

There was a lull. The squad knew that to give the enemy the building in the middle would be unforgivable. So they made a breakthrough. Taking up key positions around the house and the Central antenna, they prepared for defense. And then they were covered with heavy fire. The first in this desperate defense died David. Then and Chris, however, managed to cut queue one of creatures. As soon as the enemy appeared around the corner, the rifle fire showered them Alain, however, only suppressing the enemies.
And then it was over. The shots and explosions attract Nomadic security forces, forcing the Combined Аrmy to retreat. Although they achieved the goal, they did it only half and the credit for this lies entirely on the shoulders of the rapid reaction forces.
The survivors and wounded were treated and helped to get back to their base.
